Comments Thread For: Arum Begins Negotiations For Pacquiao vs Berto, Mosley

The wheels are turning for Manny Pacquiao's first fight of 2011. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has begun negotiations for two potential opponents. Arum has reached out to promoter Lou DiBella to begin discussions regarding a unification between Pacquiao and WBC welterweight king Andre Berto (26-0, 20 KOs). Berto still has to win next Saturday when he defends his title against Freddy Hernandez (29-1, 20 KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

These negotiations means nothing. Pacquiao isn't supposed to fight until May or June. I'll take these seriously around February when Mayweather officially ducks Pacquiao again.

The fight will go to whoever gives Arum the bigger slice.

Pacquiao will end up fighting Mosley, if Mosley really is a free agent. Arum will make 30% (or whatever split he charges fighters) of the entire PPV, with Berto, he'll make 30% of Pacquiao's share, which would be 20% (but we all know how overpaid Berto is).

If anything, but Pacquiao-Mayweather happens, **** Bob Arum, **** Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sr., **** Michal Koncsz and **** Al Haymon and anyone else preventing this **** from happening.
