Controversy brews over supplement

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Controversy erupted Saturday night before Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito even got in the ring.

A weight loss supplement was seen in Margarito's dressing room before the fight, and Pacquiao's team demanded that he be tested before the fight for possible banned substances. Texas officials, though, said the testing would be done after the fight as usual.

The weight loss supplement was reportedly Hydroxycut, sold over the counter.

Margarito struggled to lose the last few pounds this week to make the 150-pound contract weight for the fight.

No way. Pacquiao is indeed a very good fighter but won't go that
far. I give Pac props but lets not act like all his fights were up in
the air like noone knew he would dominate all the recents fighters
he has went up against. That's not me hating either but rather
telling the truth. I think I am probably one of the only ones that
didn't want to bet the house on Pac over Margarito because I guess
I want fights in the sport to be competitive in general BUT everyone
else knew and I don't think when SRR went up against Duran, Haglar,
Hearns that SRR would dominate easy. It is very easy to be called
a great fighter when your beating guys that in everyone boxing fan
mind had no chance to begin with. This fight showed there is no
reason for a Cotto rematch or even Mosley, who is too open and
slow at this point.

So wait a minute. Let me get this straight. When Pac fought Clottey all the *******s said that Pac put all the fans in the seat and sold all the ppv's by himself because Clottey was a no name and had no fan base.
