What are the gameplans of Pac/Marg?

According to interviews and watching training footage, this is what I think the gameplans are for each fighter-

    Pac:

-Stay off of the ropes. Freddie has said that fighters who stay off the ropes beat Margarito. (Williams, Mosley) I also think that you have to stay off the ropes but not let Marg throw. Mosley did it with hugs, Williams with activity, I think Pac will do it with footwork/activity.

    - Walk him into big shots- watching Roach and Manny on the mitts, Manny is working on letting Marg cross his feet up either by taking a backstep or side step when Marg punches and walking him into big left hands.

-Punch inside Margs wide punches- Working on the inside Manny will throw straight shots or short uppercuts inside of Margs arms.

    - Footwork- keep turning Marg. Not letting him get off his salvos.

    Marg:

-Break the body down: To take away Pacs speed and movement, Marg has to go to the body.

    - Head movement; Watching them do to the mitts, you can see that Marg is keeping a tight guard, and waiting for Pac to overcommit to the left to come back with a combination to the body and head.

    - Pace yourself- Marg is going to come out more methodically than normal; Garcia has said that they want to take it slower in the eaerly rounds to wait until Pac slows down a little bit. I think they'll try and box and use the jab in the early rounds.

Come on late- They are going to go for a late round KO on Pac, hoping the earely body work they do is enough to cause him to fold.

    Good luck to both guys.

    War Pacquiao.

Pacquiao: Punch Margarito in the face.

Margarito: Get punched in the face.

I don't think this is a good strategy. marg gotta start fast and early. he can't be giving up a bunch of the early rounds. using the long jab to set up his offense is not a bad idea, but he's got to stay busy and throw punches in bunches. Garcia even said on 24/7 that when pac's opponent is punching, pac isn't (most of the time anyways). Starting out slow is the recipe for losing a decision at best and getting KTFO late at worst as marg will have to work extra hard to get those rounds or get a stoppage.

horrible, horrible strategy. What marg needs to do early is use his jab to get pac on the ropes, and when pac is there, he needs to unload to the body or throw uppercuts.

coming on late, is a good idea, but they better not take their time in the opening rounds like I said. They can't be losing all of the first 6 rounds and think they are going to win. marg better work his azz off in the first 6 rounds, making them close enough to steal a few, and then turn it up a notch in the 2nd half of the fight.

anything else is a recipe for disaster.
