Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Vows To Fight On, Arum Eyes Mayweather Deal

Contrary to some of the rumors which point to Manny Pacquiao's defection from boxing, the Filipino champion has vowed to continue fighting beyond Saturday's rumble with Antonio Margarito at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Pacquiao was rumored to have been seriously considering an early retirement in order to focus on his political career. This past May, Pacquiao won an election to become a congressman in his native Sarangani Province of the Philippines.

"Arum eyes the Mayweather deal"... he's really not though.

His greedy ass has been sabotaging the fight for months now (with the help of an unsuspecting Mayweather).

Arum does not Pacquiao to fight Mayweather and then retire, when Pac still has fights left in him. As long as Arum has credible opponents for Manny in his stable and the math adds up, there will be no fight.

i agree completely. Bob will match him against Floyd when he runs out of viable in house options. He makes more money by matching Cotto, Margo, chavez Jr against Pac than he would against Floyd...and he get's the winner if there is an upset. If Pac fought Floyd and lost badly his marketability declines. Why risk it when you can match in house and MAKE MORE MONEY DOING SO. It's not rocket science. Any greedy *** would do the same thing. If i offered you a 1 million or 2 million, you sure as *** will take the two milli.
