Normally I agree with what you write or, failing that, I can at least accept the rationale behind it.

The thing is, I guess with virtually any other fighter I could just brush it off. But it's margaresto, the would-be anathema of boxing. In my view he has sinned so much against his fellow human being with what he has done and said in the past (he remarked how he wants to kill Cotto in the ring) that I cannot stomach any more of his thuggish behavior.

I have made truly tasteless jokes too, but to do it publicly and with so much impudence is nearly unforgivable. Stack that on top of his current sins and...well I think you can see where I am going.

I get why you think it is not a big deal. For me, however, it compels me to deplore him all the more.
