After the June fight, Lopez is moving up to 130. I don't think there'll be a rematch. Marquez could fight Rigondeaux at 122. My money would be on Marquez.

where in the world did I say he was going to KO JuanMa? I picked JuanMa to stomp all over Rafa get your panties out of a bunch and your facts straight please

this just goes to show how idiotic some people are in saying Rafa isn't a warrior because he quit with an alleged shoulder injury

well not it's been proven to be legit unless you think notifight isn't legit

Don't worry these morons are just gonna try to justify why Rafa should have fought on with the injury because thats what warriors do. Nevermind I can't recall a fighter ever fighting on with a major shoulder injury to begin with.

Hell even Vitali Klitchko one of the toughest Iron chinned fighters in boxing couldn't go on with a shoulder injury.

I was talking about the article, where Rafa says that he would have KO JuanMa if it wasn't for the "injury".

And what? Marquez isn't a 35 yeard old past his prime fighter who had three back breaking fights in the span of a years time?

What exactly isn't true about that statement? If stating facts is crying then so be it im crying.
these puerco ricans are just caught up in their egotistical pride.they actually believe that juanma beat a boxer in his prime.rafael marquez WAS a great boxer but i guess because of that they have a reason to celebrate.

            JuanMa vs JMM at 130.

Be mad, brother. Earn big. Defend the family, give him what he wants, challenging you in front of the mexican media, and right beside your brother. Teach em a lesson.

This is the big money-break you`ve been waiting for, the thing Pacman denied you.
Juan Manuel Marquez(original 126 lber) moved up 2 divisions in one fight to oppose Mayweather, who's the best P4P along with PAC. JuanMa(original 122 lber) can do the same and move up 2 divisions in one fight to oppose JMM.
If we're going to have a rivalry it has to be the best vs the best. Rocky Martinez vs Humberto Soto and WV2 vs Salido. Let's keep track of PR's best upcoming fighters and demand they fight Mexico's best... and let a real rivalry begin.

Oh come on 99.9% of boxers in Rafa's position would have said the same thing. This is a guy who made comeback after comeback against Izzy Vasquez in 3 fights even though he was getting hit with everything but the kitchen sink. So I can see why he gives himself the benifit of the doubt.

I honestly think Marquez could have ended it or at least got a knock down that round. Either way, a rematch would be worth seeing.
I saw it the same way, except that penalty was well deserved since JuanMa was still punching during the break. If the shoe were on the other foot, people would be saying the same for Rafa. If a rematch can be made after Rafa recovers fully, the outcome might be different. But, who knows?

35 yr old, injured fighter, 2 weigh classes lower hurt JuanMa and people are questioning his heart?

If anything Rafa deserves all the respect in the world, if he says he's injured, he's injured.

naaah he is lying to himself he was getting beat up pretty bad from about round 5 on.

I will say though I did doubt he could withstand JuanMa for long and I was wrong so in that aspect I have a ton more respect for the guy's ability to withstand extreme punishment

but JuanMa would have continued to grind him to dust

nobody is above scrutiny.............dont get me wrong......valid or not............he still quit..............not saying it was the wrong decision............his family and health comes first ofcourse........but for fighters valuing fighting till the last breath............."Quitting" is an issue indeed.................
