I'm not saying that style doesn't rub off, it does. What I'm saying is that you brought up 3 specifics; speed, chin and power. Those three things CANNOT be taught, not the natural version of them at least.

You can improve power and speed but to have speed like Mayweather or power like Mike Tyson, isn't going to happen no matter how hard you train or how many weights you lift.

That's why there are fighters like Alexis Arguello that looked scrawny, yet had the punch of a mule kick. That didn't come from training, he was a natural in that capacity.

I get what you are saying and to a certain extent you are correct in style but when it come to natural physical gifts, there are some races that have more than others.

Now of course there are exceptions, not all black men are fast, not all Mexicans are tough but there are enough consistencies that we can intelligently deduce that there is something there.

I'm NOT saying they're taught. Never once have i implied or explicitly said that. I'm saying that a difference of culture and styles allows people with different abilities to succeed in environments relevent to these abilities and fail in ones which aren't.

This gives a distorted view of racial tendencies. Are black people inherently poor at swimming because you never see one win a medal at the olympics? no. Would willie pep or Nicolino Locche be nearly as successful if they went into the same boxing gym as abraham or carl froch in their youth? possibly not.

I should add that there isn't any significant genetic differences between races, AT ALL. not in intelligence or anything else.

Successful fighters from different areas will have traits which most benefit whatever the local style is.

Also, a history of a certain type of fighter will encourage those with similar traits to take up a sport and try to emulate a style. A history of coaching is massively important, There's no reason to think that a fighter from one area will have any more ring intelligence or technical ability outside of the level of coaching he has received.

      if you disagree you're wrong.

That's BS, of course there is. Why is it that white Nordic men seem to win all the power lifting competitions? Or that African Americans win all the speed running competitions?

See, it's not politically correct to say but the facts of the matter are that slavery in the Americas created breeding among African Americans that produced the best of the best.

Like I said, it's not a popular thing to say and is taboo but it's very much true. Now intelligence is something different because that seems to be different from person to person. There are geniuses and idiots in every race but the physical can be changed much faster and has in the past.

Living conditions, environment, habitat etc can all make a difference on not only how we look but our physical traits. It's the same reason white people have narrow noses, black people tend to have wider noses, it's because of thousands of years of evolution.

That also has had an impact on physical ability and traits. They even did a tv show on it here in the U.S not to long ago and talked about "fast twitch muscle" and how they found more in African Americans than any other race.

          How do you explain that?
