Boxing and race (a non-issue but i want to say something)

There's no inherent difference between races, it's just that culturally if you're trained in black america you'll adopt a style more suited to hand speed and foot movement. Where as if you're trained in eastern or central europe (for example) you'll adopt a style more suited to heavy handedness, strength and a good chin, like arthur abraham.

Successful fighters from different areas will have traits which most benefit whatever the local style is.

Also, a history of a certain type of fighter will encourage those with similar traits to take up a sport and try to emulate a style. A history of coaching is massively important, There's no reason to think that a fighter from one area will have any more ring intelligence or technical ability outside of the level of coaching he has received.

    if you disagree you're wrong.

i agree with everything besides the bolded..while you can train to absord more punishment some people are just genetically engineered differant than others and can naturally take more punishment..your style of fighting comes from who trains you ,who you watch, and spar against.you take traits from people you train with

No, your wrong and this is a load of politically correct bull****.

Sorry but there's a reason African American's are great athletes, it has nothing to do with the "culture" they come from and everything to do with the genetics they carry.

It can't be coincidence that Mexican fighters continue to have great chins and stamina, do you really think that is taught?

You can't teach natural power, speed or a great chin. Those three things come naturally, now you can improve power and speed but how the hell are you going to improve a weak chin? By hitting it more? hahaha

There are certain traits people are born with because of who they are genetically, let's stop with the politically correct nonsense and be real and embrace them.

African American's are fast, quick and powerful.

Mexican's a re tough, hard and relentless.

Puerto Rican fighters are quick, slick and hard punchers.

Filipino's are like Mexicans, they share genetic traits.

Why do you think the fastest men in the world are consistently black from the American continent? You think they just were "taught" to run fast? hahaha

Why do you think the strongest men in the world are consistently Caucasians from the Nordic regions of the world? You think they just "learned" to be strong?

Look, there are exceptions to the rule but let's not fall for this politically correct BS and accept and embrace our differences and celebrate them instead of trying to make everyone the same.......we are not and YOU ARE WRONG.

You've clearly misunderstood me, i haven't said people have been taught to have good chins or lots of power or speed. read what i wrote again.

Successful fighters from different areas will have traits which most benefit whatever the local style is.

                  There are exceptions of course.

Yes but this comes from genetics is what I'm saying. You can't just grow up with a certain race and then magically get their traits.

I'm not saying that style doesn't rub off, it does. What I'm saying is that you brought up 3 specifics; speed, chin and power. Those three things CANNOT be taught, not the natural version of them at least.

You can improve power and speed but to have speed like Mayweather or power like Mike Tyson, isn't going to happen no matter how hard you train or how many weights you lift.

That's why there are fighters like Alexis Arguello that looked scrawny, yet had the punch of a mule kick. That didn't come from training, he was a natural in that capacity.

I get what you are saying and to a certain extent you are correct in style but when it come to natural physical gifts, there are some races that have more than others.

Now of course there are exceptions, not all black men are fast, not all Mexicans are tough but there are enough consistencies that we can intelligently deduce that there is something there.
