I remember in the Cotto 24/7 Roach was frustrated that Manny was having meetings with the President and his staff when he was supposed to be training and it was the same angle.

They're just taking the absolute worse footage of Pac and splicing it together for a desired effect- to instill doubt and make the fight more appealing than the 6-1 betting line suggests.
Smart marketing ploy? What kind of casual fan would buy this fight because Pacquiao seems unprepared?

      Are you drunk?

HBO is doing a great job. Whether this 'bad camp' situation is genuine or not, it's actually irrelevant.

The editorial of this series is genius.

No doubt the mass of casual fans will surely buy into this and push the PPV through the ceiling.

          Can't wait for this fight!

            yea HBO's weird like that...

It airs earlier on the HBO1 standard quality channel.... the HD ones air a bit later.

Think about it. I mean really.

You're a casual fan- all you hear about is how Pacquiao is the P4P best, fighter of the decade, mexecutioner, etc and now he's the 6-1 favorite over a guy you vaguely know and word is it's going to be an easy fight.

Then Arum, Roach, Ariza, etc start telling the media how Pac is off his game, distracted, isn't his usual self. Then HBO backs this up through creative editing to make it seem like he's getting destroyed in sparring and is more focused on karaoke and politics than fighting... meanwhile Margarito is having his best camp ever, he's confident and focused, and is more shredded than polly-o cheese.

You mean to tell me as a casual fan you wouldn't think 'hmmm, maybe Tony has a chance after all'? Hell, even boxing fans are starting to have their doubts.

You can't see how HBO is using this effectively as a marketing ploy?

Well think about it. How are HBO going to keep them coming back for more episodes? Drama man. IF its great camp EP 1, EP2, EP3, EP4 , its going to get a bit dull right?

That's what it is!!! I believe the odds now are around 4-1 for Pac. It started at 6-1 odds. By fightnight it will Probably will be at 3-1 Pac. HBO making this look to be a competitive fight.

I believe this wil be the strongest Margarito I've seen. It will be a very entertaing early rds. Then Pac will dominate late.

                    thats what HBO does tho
they try and sell the fight, they'll show the favorite as being distracted or not well prepared and build up the underdog

The haters are comming out, but clearly they are involved and watching. Like Ali said Some are there because they love him and some are there because they hate him but they all bought a ticket. I'm sure I butchered it but you get the point.
