At 24-0, Miguel Cotto had already beaten Lovemore N'dou, Chop Chop Corley and Randall Bailey. His next fight was vs Ricardo Torres. How would Amir Khan fare against that version of Miguel Cotto at 140lbs?

Cotto was a terrific offensive fighter in his prime and a very underrated boxer
he had a fantastic jab
he could out jab guys with longer reaches and faster hands because of his boxing skills and timing
i think he'd starch kahn pretty handily as of right now. I'm of the belief that amir is still in finishing school. He's still growing and learning and punching harder. If his chin isnt complete glass he could be a p4p guy in the future. It would be a lovely clash of styles for as long as it lasted but as of right now i'd say cotto would have gotten to that body and chin and starched him.
here's a good one
cotto vs maidana at 40...
WAR
i'd bet my car and girlfriend that both guys would hit the deck within the first half of the fight

That's funny. Just yesterday I was thinking about this match-up. Cotto's chin wasn't that good at 140 and his stamina was questionable. Khan has looked good at 140. But IMO Cotto would break him mid rounds with body shots. I think that the 140 version of Cotto had more overall experience compared to Khan.

Only if Cotto was coming up with the current set of young 140 pounders... Imagine Miguel against Khan, Devon, Bradley, Victor or Maidana...
