Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Disagrees With Roach: 'Margarito Will Be Tough'

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao does not agree with the opinion of his trainer Freddie Roach when discussing the upcoming fight with Antonio Margarito on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas. Roach is convinced the contest with Margarito will be an easy fight. He doesn't expect any problems.

Margarito will be tough, then he will realize that he cant catch Pacman. By that time Pac wil be ahead on points and rounds.. If Pacmans punches does damage then he should be able to slow him down even more.. Pac takes this one on a decision..

If Manny's punches deal real damage(early enough), Margarito may indeed be KO'd. That is, unless Margarito's pressure style will make Manny throw too little... But yeah, nice to see he isn't taking him lightly.

if pac takes margarito lightly (which it appears he is in training camp) he's in big big trouble.

Sorry guys but freddy the joke coach roach is trying to sell some tickets here, you guys just read the dam article, from the horses mouth you read that he is not taking this guy lightly - i think he had a lax camp due to outside pressures and the man has to keep weight on! i think he went through the motions in the phillipines got some good tough sparring in from bigger fighters, and the real plan was for when then got back to wildcard! Manny has been fighting his whole life his body is trained to adjust and condition, margarito winning this fight is not an upset by a long shot - did you guys watch the 2nd half of that paul williams fight where he dam near beat the hell out of the punisher, but he just started too late. when the tornado gets going he throws from every dam angle, and i have never seen margacheato tired or gassed in any of his fights - manny was dead on with his observation - that fight cheato had with mosley is water under the bridge, his mind was clearly not there and shane is a man to be focused on in the ring - the only worry on cheato is if he's damaged from the abuse he took in that fight? if he is mentally and physically good - pacman betta watch out!

Translation: Blob Arum asked Manny to help sell this "fight" as not being the mismatch that it is....since Freddy "Trainer Of The Universe" Roach refuses to lie about the circumstances to further line Blob's pockets.

                  Pac KO4 Margacheato

I agree with this. But in the end, it will boil down to Pac's endurance and the question of whether he'll be able to sustain the activity to keep Marg from attacking. On the 24/7 show, he was huffing and puffing after a round of sparring. If that happens, the table could turn. If Pac comes in ready for 12 hard rounds, then it'll be an easy fight. Otherwise he'll have to be really creative to survive.
