Excuse after excuse after excuse. Explanation after explanation after explanation....
I've been lurking on these forums for a long time, and I see different types of "*****s".
Let me start.... we all know that since Floyd is "MIA", they have a hobby of discrediting Pac, and vice versa. But reading many threads... and many posts, I have to say that *****s can't decide, or can't point out why Pac is dominating boxing.
Let me start:
1) Pac is draining his opponents by asking for catchweights
2) He fights boxers coming off from a loss
3) He cherry picks his opponents
4) He fights shot opponents
5) He's on steroids/peds
6) Ariza's shakes / Pac has no knowledge what he puts in there
7) And finally... his fights are fixed
(if i miss a couple, plz mention them)
Like seriously, these excuses I kept seeing time and time again in these forums and it's always different every time!
Pac cherry picks his opponents, next, his opponent is shot, next, he is on peds/steroids, next, his fights are fixed anyway so he wins no matter what.
I mean C'MON! What am I suppose to believe?!
Let's discuss a popular reason why Pac is dominating:
steroids/peds:
If it peds, why in the hell dont we see his brother, bobby pacquiao dominating too? I mean, they can be the smaller asian version of the klits!! That, and we would've seen more filipino boxers.
But speaking about peds, I'm asking you guys (*****s) WHEN, did Pac started using peds/steroids?! Is it when Ariza joined team pacquiao? Or before?! Because before Ariza, Pac was dominating his opponents anyway!!
Out of all the excuses, the most 'believable' are catchweights. Yes, team pacquiao asks for them, but isn't that kind of... recent? Since yknow, Pac is moving up weight divisions? I mean catchweights ARE a part of boxing. And Pac is (contrary to popular belief) actually a super/feather/light/weight.
BUT... I heard recently from a floyd fan that "he's finally fighting guys his size, cuz before he fights smallers guy".
That... is another damn excuse.
And the excuse of him fighting boxers coming off a loss, or they are just shot.? Well then, who IS he suppose to fight instead of hatton, or cotto, or margarito?
Is it Martinez? or maybe Pwill?!
Look, you have to fight your way from the bottom to reach the top. He can't just magically challenge the best back when he was just a featherweight.
My reason, is that there just isn't enough talented boxers out there. That and believe it or not, it's all about the money now.
His promotor, Arum wants well known fighters that can draw in money. If Pac challenges say Bradley, or any of those young guys, it wouldnt be a good business decision. Maybe a couple years down the road, but as for the moment, those guys are still "green". Pac will surely, dominate them right now =\
So at the moment, who IS he suppose to fight? If he fights Pwill, and won, I'm pretty sure the excuse will be "oh becuz Pwill was weight drained".
I mean... you see what I'm talking about?!
As of now, team pacquiao thinks that pac is reaching his limit, so they're saying that 147 is the weight he should stay at from now on.
So who IS an opponent that can:
a) is a big name
b) draws in money
c) isn't shot/coming off from a loss
that... we all know. =P
That's another thing I want to point out. The "double standards" argument.
When Floyd beat Mosley, *****s were praising him saying;
"Well he beat Mosley so he's better than Pac. Even Roach told Mosley that he's too good for Pac."
Well what if Pac has fought Mosley in May instead of Floyd? ...and won?
*****s: "Mosley was shot"
See?... these damn double standards are pissing me off.
I mean it does happen the other way around, "*******s" discrediting Floyd.
But they have 'fewer' reasons why Floyd is "dominating" boxing.
If I made a list of excuses against Pac, here's a list of excuses against floyd:
1) He picks safe and easy fights (cherry picks)
2) He uses xylocaine
3) He retires or takes a vacation when a boxer is threatening his "0"
Most *******s KNOWS that Floyd is a skilled boxer. He is widely regarded as the most skillful boxer this generation. And I'm not gonna deny that.
Floyd may say he has a perfect record, but to me, he has yet to truly put his skills to the test.
But back to Pac, there's so many reasons and excuses made against him (compared to floyd's). He's a complete fighter now, and I say, he's the rightful P4P.
Don't people... believe in natural talent anymore? You look at the old ATGs, and people say that they can kick everyone's ass in the present. Ppl put them in a higher pedestal than boxers of this generation.
But when a boxer emerges and starts dominating SRR-style, people are baffled. Like they've seen a ghost, and they don't want to believe it.
It's a natural human instinct that our brains wants an EXPLANATION why the impossible was made possible.
That why excuses like peds, weight drains, and fixed fights were made. Because they don't want to believe that TALENT still exists in this world just like how SRR/Ali's era existed.
One of the main reason, I think is because Pac is ASIAN.
No one has heard of a P4P asian boxer in the past. That SOUNDS laughable a decade ago. So people make excuses and accusations. (yet as I pointed out, can't decide WHY pac is dominating)
But as I said... there's always a first. And Pac is one of them.
If people say it was because or Roach that Pac is where he is now, maybe they are partially right.
Wont that mean that every fighter Roach has trained be top P4P too?!
No. You know why?
Because Pac has talent.
He has heart.
He has dedication.
He has loyalty.
He has a WHOLE country cheering for him.
That is why I believe that Pac is where he is now.
Please share your thoughts and opinions. Everyone is welcome =)
