I don't understand what sparring with Amir does for Manny.

He's not as big as margo, he's not as slow, he's not as strong, he's not a pressure fighter.....he does nothing for Manny aside from a bit of exercise.

I think they spar for speed. You know when you spar speedy fighter it will make you sharper and quicker to responce in any given situation. So when you fight slower fighter you have the advantage seeing his moves, having a microseconds reaction even before he executes his move is a big plus.

its quite clear that amir is seizing up manny & anticipating a future fight with him. he's saying all the right things but in the back of his mind, he wants to fight manny, that's why he's pushing to spar with manny. He's definitely seizing up manny for a possible future fight & trying to learn as much about manny as possible.
