I agree with the bolded. Cotto could have been great
if he had a better corner from his early career. His
uncle did a good job but Cotto took too much punishment
at a young age. Somebody should have taught him some
defensive technics instead of relying on pressure and
power because not every fighter can be hurt or backed
down so easily (Mosley/Margarito). Clottey even seemed
to be too much but Joshua's inactivity cost him the lost
against Cotto. Fighters who pressure Cotto and take his
punches discourage him.

Exaxtly, in both L's Cotto has,and even in the Mosley and Clottey fights, you can pinpoint the moment where Miguel broke. A lot can be put on his training and especially in ring advice. But he is the one in charge so he takes the blame.

They are all biased towards a certain style of fighting...including Jeff.

I mean to say Margarito has always been overrated etc, then to turn around and say Berto is amazing.......clearly lets you know how biased he is.

Honestly how hard is it, for anyone in the sport of boxing, to give a fighter props even though it's a style you don't like or prefer.

I'm not a Margarito fan by any means, but no one can be called overrated when you destroy someone like Cotto, beat Clottey, Cintron, Martinez etc.....and have a razor thin loss to Paul Williams.
