Yes that's exactly it. He mainly appears on football shows like Soccer AM, Chris Moyles radio show, big late night talkshows like Jonathan Ross and the camp dragqueen guy, forgotten his name, etc etc. Needless to say, the majority of people who watch that stuff haven't the slightest clue about anyone boxing today. Haye could tell them that Tyson was still a force in the division and they'd believe him. Then there's the fact that all our tabloid journalists are spineless little wanksters without an ounce of integrity between them who'll big up anything or anyone British so long as they're still on top. Real boxing fans in the UK have turned against Haye but casual sports fans think he's the world Heavyweight champion and that the Klitschkos are ducking him. The British press have been appalling - while only the gutter press actually goes along with the pretence that they have been ducking him, even the serious press has pretended that the fault for a fight with one of the Klitschkos not happening is evenly split. AFAIK, not one British boxing journalist has called him out on turning down a straight 50/50 offer with no rematch clauses to fight Wlad this year.

Their coverage of his last two fights has generally been pathetic, too. For instance, the BBC kept calling Ruiz a "two-time world champion, as if what Ruiz did 7 years ago is still relevant today. None of them pointed out that Ruiz was generally ranked well outside the top 20 when he fought Haye, and none mentioned that Valuev was generally ranked outside the top 5 when Haye fought him. And almost none mentioned that the Valuev fight was very close (they mostly called it a brilliant display of boxing by Haye!); and not one of them mentioned that Ruiz had badly exposed Haye's vulnerability to a decent jab, and his suspect stamina - or that three of his four knock-downs were illegal.

Seriously, the Klitchko's need to stop the charades and challenge Haye for the Championship. We've all seen that the Klits are well connected and are capable of buying most of the heavyweight belts and rankings. If that's all they're out to prove, they can retire now. Now if either of them wants to be a World Champion and challenge for Muhammad Ali, George Foreman and Rocky Marciano's belt...they're gonna have to take a chance and challenge the Champion David haye.
