Comments Thread For: Alfonso Gomez: "Chavez Jr. is Getting Knocked Out"

Welterweight contender Alfonso Gomez (22-4-2, 11 KOs) has no probelm with being tagged as the underdog in his upcoming fight with junior middleweight and middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30 KOs). Chavez-Gomez is the main event of Top Rank's pay-per-view on December 4 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Gomez tells FanHouse that Chavez is never going to make it to next year's planned fight with WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto.

I like Gomez, but I just think that Chavez Jr will come away with a wide UD win.

Then in 2011, Cotto KOs Chavez Jr

We all know this is extrememly doubtful. Gomez is a solid fighter but has already proven to be ineffective above welterweight. I see Jr. TKO'ing him late.

soto versus rios should be the main event. chavez and gomez should be the first undercard fight.
