I've seen that Chavez fight coming for awhile now. Too many positives for Top Rank all around not to make that Manny's next fight. Promotion, avoidance of much more worthy challengers, in house money, mexicutioner, son of mexican legend, Cinco de Mayo coming up, Julio Sr beat Floyd's uncle roger previously as a selling point, "revenge" by JCC Jr for Cheato's 'loss' to Manny for Mexican pride, 41 or possibly 42 and 0 record "undefeated" to mirror Floyd's as selling point of an "undefeated" challenge to Pac to quell thoughts of Manny fighting fighters coming off of losses or on their way down. etc.

JCC Jr is already going to train with Manny. He'll call him out next. And claim he sparred with Manny and knows how to beat him.

there's no other place to run for Manny. Too many worthy opponents out there to take a risk.
