Vitali Klitschko Vs. Danny Williams : Keys To Victory

The following is an unbiased humble opinion of each fighter's keys to winning the fight, I am NOT a fan of either fighter so I am NOT taking sides:

    Danny Williams keys to victory:
-It is important for Williams to get on the inside and work Vitali's body, he must do this by first establishing a jab then come in behind it blasting shots to Vitali's body and blasting shots in to the head as well. Williams must pace himself and not come out swinging because he has a better chance at winning by chopping Vitali down rather than going for a one punch KO. Williams is the heavier guy coming in and must use his physical size and strength to pressure and brawl Vitali and chop him down from the inside of Vitali's defense. He must do this methodically and not get into a brainless slugfest, or else he may gas out. In the later rounds if he successfully follows this plan he may catch Vitali with his hands down, as fighters do after an accumulation of body shots. Then he can go for a KO.

    Vitali Klitschko's keys to victory:
-Vitali must use his height and reach to land shots from the outside, preferable setting up power blows behind a jab. Any time that Williams gets inside on him, he must tie up Williams arms and hold him so Williams can't blast shots on him on the inside. The key is for Vitali to stay outside, stick and move, set up power shots with jabs, nail Williams to the body whenever possible to help gas him out. He must also not turn this into a brainless slugfest. So it's best for Vitali to stay methodical as well and keep the defense up.

My prediction: I always thought that the outcome of this fight will be based on whoever is better prepared. Judgeing from the weigh in Vitali looked better prepared and focused, he came in shape, stealth and ready to go. Williams on the other hand came in at 270 lbs., the heaviest ever for a title fight. Sure, parts of him looked solid and muscular but he looked thick around the middle which leads me to believe he didnt do enough of his roadwork and will eventually gas out during the fight due to poor stamina. Coming in that big and heavy is not safe for a fighter unless you have one punch knockout power like George Foreman who can end a fight with one punch anytime. But Williams doesn't have that kind of knock out power. So what I think will happen is Vitali will fight him from the outside landing powershots to the head and body. Eventually Williams from gassing out and from taking shots will weaken in the middle rounds. That is when Vitali will take advantage and unload powershots to the head until he knocks him out or the ref jumps in and stops it. My prediction: Vitali wins by KO round 6.

Again I am not a fan of either of these guys, so this is a neutral unbiased humble OPINION and I can be completely wrong, because as we all know boxing is the theatre of the unexpected.

Get on the inside, go to the body, do you know how many has said that and then found out that it dident work, the person who has fought VK best is LL.

You need a big man like him and you need him to start a real dog fight.

However i dont know who might do that.

For Vitaly: to beat from a distance.
For Danny: to take with himself a baseball bat.

Its a 50/50 fight, anyone who claims otherwise doesnt know boxing.

Who the hell said Danny Williams doesnt have a one punch KO power is crazy, the dude can ****.

Watch Williams left hook, it may cause a few upsets.

.....I was just thinking the same thing. Nobody has been able to get inside on V except for Lennox, and that only happened when V had that wicked cut and couldn't see for ****. Otherwise I don't think even Lennox would have gotten to him. In trying to get inside Williams is gonna have to take chances. In doing that he is gonna get whacked and whacked hard. I am changing my prediction to a late 1st round or early 2nd round brutal K.O. by Vitali. I think those saying it's gonna be a Kirk Johnson repeat are right.

Williams doesn't have the physical tools or the same talent as Lennox Lewis, therefore he doesn't have the ability to fight Vitali like Lewis did. Lennox was able to turn his fight with Vitali into a slugfest from an outside distance because like Vitali he is also a tall man with a long reach. In this case you have Williams who is much shorter then Vitali and with a shorter reach so he can't fight Vitali from the outside and make it into a slugfest. If he does that Vitali will beat him to the punch every time because he has the height and reach advantage. So like I said the key for Williams to win is get inside of Vitali's defense and chop him down, can he pull it off?--we'll see this weekend.

No, without a bat it will be hard for Danny.

First off all DW has 1 inch longer reach than VK.
Secondly i box activ and i can tell you that i foten slug it out with men that are a lot taller and it works fine.

williams has a longer reach than vitali---ok my mistake I must have misread the stats that I read. anyway he only has 1 inch longer reach but in my opinion he doesn't utilise his reach as good as Vitali does. I also box and know for a fact for a shorter less skilled man to try to slug it out FROM THE OUTSIDE with a taller better skilled man who knows how to use his size to an advantage is suicide. Like I said and Danny has a better chance getting inside and chopping Vitali down. Again that is my humble opinion, you have your humble opinion-its ok to agree to disagree- we'll just have to see fight night.
