Exactly, paulie is taller, longer reach more speed accuracy and skill than maidana, better chin too, the only thing maidana has over paulie is power.

It's not just one punch power though. He is a pretty good pressure fighter, if not quite an elite one. And he sometimes throws from awkward angles and his punches can be hard to anticipate. Kotelnik has an excellent defence and a granite chin, but Maidana landed plenty of clean punches on Kotelnik and most people thought Maidana deserved to get a narrow decision win in that fight.

Admittedly Kotelnik doesn't have the speed or lateral movement that Khan has, but as long as Maidana has a decent gameplan, and doesn't just head hunt, he does have a decent chance, IMO, and it will be easily Khan's toughest fight to date. Even if Khan wins, I would be very surprised if he isn't hurt at some point in the fight.

I think Maidana seen all those shots Paulie landed on Khan and felt if it were him it would have been goodnite..Paulie was able to punch with Khan and landed some good shots that you could tell effected Khan..Maidana is going to win this fight 4th to 6th rd KO..

What? Khan beat the snot out of Paulie until he made the clown quit. Paulie landed like 15 meaningful shots the entire fight....Maidana is gonna get outboxed in a clinic. He had better get insie and pressure like a mofo or else he will get KO'd, Khan is a jackass but he has tremendous speed and boxing ability. Maidana should have a plan b, c, and d if he wants to win

And romebyko's point was that when Malignaggi did land cleanly, Khan sometimes looked as if the punches had affected him, even though Paulie has no pop.

15 meaningful punches landing cleanly from Maidana would be a very serious test for Khan's chin.

No Doubt that Khan will get his chin tested. Khan is a good boxer will tremendous speed, maidana will have to do more than trying to land one big punch, hes gunna have to box and be smart

I agree with you that Maidana should have more then one way of attack..But I think you are overrating Khan's ability to avoid shots...Paulie was landing some good shots(in the first three rds IMO)that mad Khan's face look a lil funny and this is Paulie we talking bout..I also think you are underestimating Maidana skills as a brawler..Make no mistake it takes skill to be a slugger just as much as a boxer..The one thing Maidana will have to work on is cutting off the ring..If he get's that down it's over for Khan,cause i believe Maidana already is a very good pressure fighter..

Well, I hope this is just a tactic, but I don't think it is. Maidana doesn't come off as a 'mind game' type of guy...he relies on pressure....I just hope this fight is entertaining, I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of movement, Khan playing it safe, which I don't mind (Khan should do that), it's just when you throw the name Maidana out there, you can't help but think of an explosive fight.

I think Khan is gonna show that movement he is so know for..But Khan has a fighters mentality,Maidana will hit him in the body and Khan will want to respond..Maidana is very good at luring his opponents into exchanges..That's where Khan does not wanna be..I see a great fight..I also think I will like Khan a lil bit more after the fight even tho I see him losing it..
