I didn't root for Mayorga against DLH or Mosley. Why? cause he's not a very good fighter, sure he can talk **** with the best of them but he can't back it up. He's like the opposite of Arguello, Arguello was respectable but a beast in the ring, Mayorga runs his mouth like a beast, but just lacks the skill to be a real threat to most seasoned boxers.Last edited by AllEyesOpen; 09-17-2010, 02:20 PM.

If you only root for fighters because of where they were born you are PATHETIC.
Hatton over Mayweather
Tszyu over Judah
Wlad and Vitali against every American they have ever fought
Calzaghe over Hopkins
Pascal over Dawson
Froch over Dirrell
AA over Direll
Kessler over Ward
Cotto over Paulie
Sergio over Williams
Lewis vs every American
Those are a few recent ones. But like I said, I do it all the time. I root for fighters, not countries. Im able to think for myself.Last edited by Motofan; 09-17-2010, 02:29 PM.

Dirrell vs Abraham (he is not Ukrainian but I count the former USSR as my country, so close enough) I wanted the judge to DQ Abraham and was glad when he did
If Chambers were to fight someone from Ukraine or Russia other than the Klitschkos or Boytsov or Povetkin, I would root for him

I come from a small country with few stars in sports, so I root for my countryman. It's hard to think of times that I rooted for the opponent.
Maybe the closest thing was Larry Holmes when he fought Nielsen or when Livingstone Bramble fought Soren Sondergaard. I get a little sentimental with these old guys that shouldn't be fighting lol.
