    Comparing fighters of the past.....

...with fighters of today. I don't think the Rockys and the Alis of yesterday could compete with some of the fighters of today. Example: Could Foreman beat Lennox Lewis.
Fighters of today are much bigger and much stronger than ever. I just don't think they could hang. I keep going back to Lewis because that was our last great champ.

Ali is one of the only fighers I could see flourishing in an given era. He had a granite chin, amazingly fast hands, he was the smartest fighter to ever live, and he had good power.

What leads you to believe that Foreman couldn't beat Lennox Lewis? Rahman dropped him, Foreman would have ripped out his kidney and spit on it.

Lyle, Quarry, Shavers, most of the top fighters from the earlier part of the 70's would eat Lewis up. So would Kevin Rooney Tyson, Prime Holmes easily,. It goes without saying that Foreman,Ali Frazier, would eat him up. Even though Frazier only weighed 205 pounds in his prime (first title defence against Ali.)
