It isn't Maidana alone, so what you say about that is completely irrelevant. If it was Khan alone it would sell far less than it is going to sell.

No one is claiming he deserves 50/50, and you have no evidence whatsoever that he's asked for that much. But he certainly deserves at least 60/40, especially as he stepped aside when he could have had Khan stripped, on the promise that he'd make more money by doing so. GBP don't think he's being unreasonable, so it's a fair assumption that he isn't. And given that GBP don't think he's being unreasonable, and given that he appears to be asking for an amount (which hasn't been made public) rather than a percentage, he's quite right to say his private negotiations are none of team Khan's business.
Are you 100% sure that if it is in the UK, HBO will not fund it? I would have assumed that it will be a late start to fit in with the US?

If not, and it is in the US, then I agree 60/40 is reasonable. Khan will still bring in more fans IMO, and draw more viewers.

Not sure on Maidana vs Ortiz viewers, but Paulie and Khan hit over 1 mil. Apparently that is good.

All I want is the fight to happen, and I believe the champ should get 60% atleast.

That's what the boxingscene articles about the fight have been saying recently, that it won't be in the UK because HBO said they wouldn't fund it if it is. Google away if you don't believe me, I don't have time to look them up right now, but I assure you that that's what the articles have been saying, and you can look them up for yourself if you like.

I remember someone from HBO was saying the fight needs to be built to be big enough to sell in the US. and Khan finally beat Paulie in the US. so I think its time now for his mandie for the right cash to challenge the champion.

you have to remember Khans first fight in the States was his last one.

Maidana needs to accept whatever contract Khan throws his way or move on and take another fight. He deserves no more than ?00,000 of the purse for this fight. That will about double his highest payday yet.

Khan is the champion. Khan is the star. Khan is the attraction.

                      LOL, good one.

If Maidana signs the glass jawed one better be worrying about his payday instead of Maidanas as it may be his last.

                      WAR MAIDANA!!!
