    Simple question for Floyd fans...........

Why is Jones more popular than Floyd?

I mean, Roy was a defensive fighter, he was hardly shy and retiring when speaking about how great his talent was, he has been accused of not facing the best fighters he could of at certain points in his career, so i ask you, why does he have more fans, why is Roy more universally liked in Boxing circles?

I mean, even with those criticisms being leveled at him about not always facing the guys he should of in certain parts of his career, he is still more universally liked than Floyd Mayweather.

Ugh because Floyd doesn't give a damn except for that $$$$$$$$$$$.

Not really rocket science man. He's openly admitted that.

because he didn't retire when Cotto, Margarito and Paul Williams were at their best, and settling among themselves who was the best, and then coming back after they were all out of the picture and claiming he was the best.

I haven't even gotten started with Manny yet.

So why has he left a 50mil dollar fight hanging in the air? i mean its not like there is not a possibility that his opponent wont wash his hands of it, yet mr " i dont fight for legacy, only for money" still aint made the fight, and its not like Pac aint agreed to do tests, he has, its also not like there is a shred of evidence to be asking for the test, yet he is still ready to do commision test and OST to a certain degree, hell id fight Pac for that and let him take what ever he wants.

Roy took legitimate challenges outside of his comfort zone, albeit at a late stage in his career. He also, in his prime, defeated Toney and Bernard. Took it to another level by defeating John Ruiz and becoming HW champion.

Only thing I can think they have in common is that there was a period on their careers when the media (American) was supporting them 100%.

Agreed. But someone else will come around and take his hook, just like he's laid in the water time in and time out. Hell he even cried after beating Arturo Gatti because his eyes went Cha-Ching. Even though Pac is the next biggest money draw in the game doesn't mean there aren't other multiple money draws........and not to mention Floyd is rich enough as it is lol.

I think the Pacquiao sense of "entitlement" the fans are feeling doesn't mean much to Floyd. I mean seriously.

If he cared about his comments being insensitive, I definitely think he'd be heartbroken if the fight with Pac didn't fall through.

            He cares not.

He has everyone by the balls so to speak.

I guess his style is alot more appealing to the eye, Roy knocks guys out, throws alot of combinations, and has can end a fight with one punch. Mayweather at 147 and since hes become worldwide famous, doesnt really throw combos and doesnt really knock people out, and Roy is alot more flashy. Alot of casual fans are going to find Roy styles more entertaining than Floyds. Personally, i love watching Floyd fights i find them great to watch, but thats just my preferance, causal fans i would guess not so much.
