Comments Thread For: Felix Trinidad Comes Clean on 'Why' He Lost To Hopkins

Many years have passed since Felix "Tito" Trinidad was defeated by Bernard Hopkins. Their fight took place on September 29, 2001 at Madison Square Garden located in New York City. There were several problems prior to the fight. The tragedy of the September 11 ********* attacks on New York postponed the fight from the planned date of September 15. In an upset, Hopkins stopped Trinidad in the tweflth round to unify the middleweight division. [Click Here To Read More]

Trinidad is a warrior and one of the most exciting fighters of the last 20 years.

Saying that, the only way Trinidad was winning that night or on the original date is if his country men in the crowd jumped in the ring and jumped Hopkins.

I hate it when people can't admit they just got dominated by the better man. Just because something else is playing on your mind it doesn't mean you will get dominated and stopped... it won't make that much difference. There is no way Tito could beat Hopkins under any circumstance.

yea i feel the same. and for saying that the situation with his wife effected him ..... it was his fault. It was him who cheated on his wife and put himself in that situation.

its hard to respect a man who doesnt admit why he lost......he wasnt the better man ...... plain and simple

Thanks for clearing that up Tito. For years I thought that he lost because Hopkins beat the snot out of him.

I'm a Tito fan all day, but this is disgraceful. I guess a Mike Tyson type honesty is a once in a lifetime type thing.
