Hasegawa deserves a rematch vs Montiel?????

    Who agrees???

Montiel was getting outboxed and I favour Hasegawa in a rematch.

Hasegawa should've just taken a knee.

Still, It looks like he's going to face Moreno next with the winner taking on the winner of Donaire/Montiel to unify the WBO, WBC & WBA titles. It would be huge if they then tried to set that up with the winner of the 4 man tourney to unify the IBF, but I'm getting ahead of myself. The 118 lbs division is the one to watch now, since the fights ARE getting made.

        Definitely.

Nonito vs Montiel will probably be on the Cotto vs Chavez undercard in December and will be a great fight. Moreno will be a tough opponent for Hasegawa and is no push-over, if that fight indeed gets made.

The 118 division is one of the best in boxing now with fighters like Perez, Mares, Hozumi, Donaire moving up, Montiel etc etc

I definitely want a rematch. It was a good fight to that point and Hasegawa wasn't knocked cold or anything, it was just an unfortunate circumstance where the ref had to stop the fight.

The comeback war of Hasegawa planned in the end of November may become featherweight.

              Hasegawa said.
"If cannot fight against Montiel do not need to be particular about a bantamweight.
I want to challenge various chances."

The match may become the world title match and negotiates centering on WBC king Elio Rojas.

In addition, WBC world Super featherweight division king Vitali Tajbert challenge is arranged informally for Takahiro Ao.

It was an unfortunate situation for Hasegawa, if his arm hadnt have been caught up in the ropes i think he would have just dropped and then beaten the count. It was the end of the round anyway it really comes down to if his corner would have let him back out, which i think the would of because he didnt seem to be in too bad a state after the stoppage.

However the real question would have been how long would he have been able to survive with a broken jaw.
