In his 37th fight vs a part time old oscar de la hoya. that was in 2007.
The second time floyd fought a bona fide hall of famer?
A 36 year old career featherweight at welterweight in marquez who went through 3 straight wars before being hustled by floyd.
2009.
& the 3rd time floyd fought a hall of famer?
vs a 39 year old 1 year & 5 month inactive shane mosley.
2010.
marquez was a tune up
mosley was a fight that the public demanded because may vs pac wasnt made.
stop trolling you clown

who was it that said he dont fight tune ups?
o yea floyd.
it became a public demand after berto's family died because of an earthquake & floyd wanted to fight another no hoper.
yet that doesnt change the fact that shane was basically 39 years old & 1 year & 5 months removed from his last fight.
& it showed every bit of it in the fight when he gassed after the 3rd round.

about the mosley fight the public would have absolutely crucify floyd if he picked cotto, margarito, cintron, campbell, ricky hatton, matthew hatton or quintana
they wanted mosley because he was free from the berto showdown and floyd complied. at the time being mosley was the only free top welterweight because cotto was taking time out, berto was attending to personal matters, and clottey was already booked for pacquiao, so that left only mosley and if floyd would have not picked him the public would crucify him.
its obvious you have an agenda and that is to **** on mayweatherLast edited by shacasulu; 09-02-2010, 12:36 AM.

Marquez scared the sh@t out of Floyd so he came in overweight.
Mosley is an old fart so Floyd say I fight you.
Great thread by the way and LOL at the cherries.

The problem with this thread is that people are making a big deal about Manny Pacquiao beating Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera. Not to discredit him but MAB had around 60 fights, most of them being wars, by the time Pac faced him. He lost pretty handily to Erik Morales the first time they fought and only beat Morales AFTER he got schooled by Zahir Raheem and could no longer make 130 lbs.
So yes Pacquaio beat two hall of famers relatively early in his career but both were guys who deteriotated young.
P.S. Though we will never know I am certain that Floyd Mayweather could beat Barrera, come on the dude lost to DAVID DIAZ and he'd more than likely beat Morales who lost to a "slick" fighter the first time he faced one.
