Castillo was a decent fighter in his day, but no ATG. Hall of fame im not too sure about that.
But he gave floyd knightmares for 2 fights.
Floyd is trying to fill his resume with names. And he is just waiting for one great opponent on his resume. He may be hoping to strike it lucky one day and live off of one great win.
Over perhaps over Pac or someone in a higher weight.

Serious question why do children think in terms of scared when talking of elite fighters , thats just so child minded school yard mentality you need to grow up a little .

castillo is not a hall of famer.that's a fact. you can set that in stone. he's a very good fighter in his prime but he's below hall of fame.

its not literally & physically scared, but scared to lose the fight. floyd is scared to be on the losing end of one the biggest fight in the history of boxing. hence the hesitation.

No, you dont have to back track on what you said. He is literally scared. He feels he might have to take more punches than he is used to, and even with his great defense he might have to taste leather more than hes used to.

He is an over achiever when it comes to defense because he is literally scared to take punches.

              .
Thanks for clearing that up. I was just trying to be a bit diplomatic to *****s. I never thought Castillo was that good. Losing to Hatton like that confirmed it to me.

                lol, me too.

im gonna do some research & i will post when other ATG hall of fame boxers faced their first hall of fame opponent.

you can bet they didnt wait till they were 30 & in the tail end of their career to fight other HOF fighters.

In his 37th fight vs a part time old oscar de la hoya. that was in 2007.

The second time floyd fought a bona fide hall of famer?

A 36 year old career featherweight at welterweight in marquez who went through 3 straight wars before being hustled by floyd.

                    2009.

& the 3rd time floyd fought a hall of famer?

vs a 39 year old 1 year & 5 month inactive shane mosley.

                    2010.

like manny fighting oscar after he didn't look to good against forbes or fightin hatton aftert he got knocked out by floyd and made it seem like ricky was on the way back because he beat paulie but it was clear the paulie didn't look to good at the time or like manny fighting miguel while everyone was sayin he is not the same fighter he is since the margarito fight and felt like he got beat up by clottey

                      hey dumbass, stay on topic.

hatton is not a hall of famer. oscar is not pac's best win. what's the title of the thread numskull? neither is clottey or cotto(for now).

now after properly reading it again,

when was pac's first hall of fame opponent? how old was pac? now compare that to floyd.

how about you research other great fighters. see how long it took them to fight their first hall of fame opponent.

                      then compare them to floyd.

                      now off you go child.
