In reality, it is ridiculous. Technically however, a weight class is the max weight all the way down to the weight class before it.

But yeah fight at the max weight in the class or at least a little below it if you can't make weight but don't make the other guy do it.

I agree with all Ur points,but they still made the fight a championship fight,I just can't ignore that!!We all give Floyd his share of criticism for that Marquez catchweight fiasco,but at the very least,that wasn't a championship fight.I wouldn't have had a problem if this fight was just called a tune-up to test super welter,but Arum really added a title fight in this farce!!

If he wants to fight Margo at JMW that is not the problem, it is in a catch weight of 151 for a WBC belt, one of the major bodies in a division that neither has done anything significant in that weight.

Let you have a fighter fighting in that weight and they give the belt away in a circus act like this one to see how you would feel. If Pac wants to fight for the JMW crown just allow the other fighter to come at the limit. Catchweights only benefits Pac in the fight and the opposing fighter it only benefits his bank account

catchweights for championships have always been a part of boxing. live with it.

but I totally disagree this fight being for a championship because pac and margarito have done jack **** at 154 to get this fight as a championship fight.
