Roach is up to his usual tricks. Fight Maidana!

If Khan doesnt fight him. The WBA should strip him.
Exactly, why are the WBA also allowing Khan to keep on ducking, he's been the number 1 contender for a year now. This fight has to happen and i'm really glad Marquez priced himself out of the fight with Khan as it another bull**** move by Team Khan to fight another much smaller fighter with the biggest name that they could possibley get at this point.

      Great quote.

Man hopefully the ****** execs at HBO give fighters the caliber of Maidana extra chances to fight on the network. The man comes to fight and should be rewarded.
4-real a fighter like Maidana is a bankable fighter and is relentless in the ring. I'll never understand how Chad Dawson was paid 800K and Tarver was paid 1.2 million to face each other, give Amir Khan 1.2 million and Paulie Malignaggi 450K and wonder why all these guy run and duck when a real challenge is presented.

where the f*** did this "Maidana faked an injury" **** come from?

His ex-manager (Mario Margossian) scheduled him to fight Bradley without so much as discussing splits or his contract with him...then even MOVED the date (from June 17 to July 19) without so much as telling him. In June, he released a full open letter to his fans explaining all of this.

Maidana explained that he only learned of the Bradley fight through BOXING WEBSITES like this one. He then called GBP and HBO, and learned that his manager had in fact negotiated and contracted a fight vs. Bradley without his permission, or even his knowledge.

I like Maidana. It seems like he's a straight forward guy who's not interested much in the politics of boxing. He's gonna bring a fight, and that's all there is to it. Went to Europe to fight Kotelnik, and went to Los Angeles to fight Victor Ortiz.

Anyone who questions this guy's heart is a moron.

cant blame him. khan sayig hes better than him, alexander and bradley and roach saying khan would beat all three on the same night. all of which is just absurd, khan would get stretched by any one of em.

worst part is khan is so ****ing protected and wont fight nobody, just got all this hype and is starting to buy into it getting completely obnoxious. classic example of a young mans fame getting to his head and losing touch with reality.

if he ever does step up, back up his words and stop hiding behind his promoters he will get a reality check.

I hope this fight happens, and even if Maidana losses I will still be a fan... Damn I like his attitude.

Khan will be panicking that he might have talked himself into a propper fight with no smaller soft punching fighters he likes in front of him.

i bet goldenboy are having fits trying to work out a way of damage limitation so they can swerve maidana again, telling amir to get off twitter and stop talking. Khan you ****** make the fight and earn your stripes - stop talking shyte and get this finalised and leave older, out of prime smaller fighters alone and prove yourself to deal with a big puncher

Anyone not willing to take a significantly lesser split against Kahn is "pricing themselves out of a fight" with him. You see, it's like this... Kahn has been guaranteed a minimum purse of $1 million per fight by GBP. If HBO is only willing to pay $1.5 mil. then any opponent that faces Kahn has to be willing to take a very small piece of the pie. Correct? So then Kahn tries to justify it by saying "It's more money than [insert name] has ever made in a fight", all the while acting like he's the one running the show because he doesn't want to take less than he's been guaranteed. So in this case, Kahn pretty much already knows that Maidana (or anyone worthwhile) is gonna be "priced out" asking anything more than 10-20%. That's the sick game played when promoters promise big purses to undeserving contenders, especially since Kahn has done nothing to deserve being the shot caller. Just ask Breidis Prescott.
So, I wouldn't expect to see Kahn in with anyone worth their weight for a long time, unless their willing to bow down to a 90-10 split from "Boss" Kahn.
Kahn-Prescott II coming soon - that's my prediction.

Side note: There's a slight (and I mean slight) chance we could hear Mayweather call Kahn out, but I'm not sure if Kahn would take it. That would be a real battle of greed vs career for him. He would make a career lifetime high pay, but he wouldn't have much of a leg to stand on after that IMO. [I bet greed would win lol]

Great read...Khan better fight Maidana or I'll will call him Con for the rest of his career.Maidana is who he has to fight.IMO he needs Maidana right now so give a decent cut of the money and get the fight on..he should prove his status as the number 2 Jr WW which I feel he did not even earn..At least Devon fought Urango who is somewhat of a puncher Con is yet to fight a puncher man...I think Maidana will expose Con..
