It's actually a good move by Williams
People know Martinez has the style to give him a tough fight, but he can be beaten
So if Williams does get a clear cut second win then it will do wonders to his resume
I think Martinez with a bit more of a gameplan takes it this time though.

He wasn't contracted to fight Mayweather, Margarito, or Mosley but he still looked for those fights as options before a Paul Williams rematch. Some of you are funny. When Williams looks for options like that he's a coward. But when Martinez does it "it's business." Double standards.

Thats not true, he wanted a rematch with Williams all along. But he also wants to fight all those other guys too.

Martinez is just more man than Williams. Thats all there is to it.

Not his fault Williams ran to 47' after losing to the Frog. Now that there is nothing for him there he's coming back up to 54' to get his ass taxed.

Paul and his handlers should have damn well known that
Paul wasn't getting a big fight at 147 ESPECIALLY with
Manny or Floyd. HBO had to put pressure on Williams for
this rematch to happen and it should not have been like
that because the first fight was close and questionable, so
Paul and his people should have jumped at the chance to
settle it, CONSIDERING Martinez is the biggest fight Williams
can get AND Martinez beat Pavlik and became the middle
weight champ. A win over Martinez would put Paul in a
better position to get bigger $ fights. It's ironic that Williams
beat Martinez but Martinez still leveled up higher than Paul.
Have to respect Martinez because he just fights and never
cries about it. If it wasn't for Angulo, this fight would have
not happened and that's not a good look on Paul Williams

behalf BUT it is still a good thing for us boxing fans.
Exactly. But Williams' nuthuggers like Burner can't get that through their thick head. The fact Williams took his sweet time at jumping at the opportunity to take this fight after Martinez beat Pavlik makes Williams look like a question mark in my opinion. I think Martinez is gonna beat him this time too and when he does, hopefully he doesn't get robbed again.

Yes, he will beat him even easier this time now because Martinez is a cerebral fighter and Williams is a dumb fighter (see all his fights especially the Frog fight)...

Furthermoar, once Williams loses, he will be relegated to gatekeeper status based on the fact that most thought he got a gift in the first ***y fight and against the Frog...

Not even Al Haymon's chicanery and HBO machinations will be able to save his ass.

Bye bye Paul... twas nice knowing you.

And the only thing I give Williams any credit for is he did offer to fight Martinez again before Martinez went to fight Pavlik instead. You can say it's double standards all you want if Martinez didn't rematch Williams right away. But put yourself in his shoes like I'm willing to do. If I was him, and I was able to take Williams to hell and back like that and one of the judges only gave me one round like that, I'd be inclined to explore other options too. It's like the judges already had the cards filled out for Williams before the fight even began.

What Williams' hardcore sympathizers can't grasp is the fact that when HBO eventually said they had to fight each other, it was Williams who attempted to weasle out of it and not Martinez.
