Cotto has every advantage coming into this fight.Home field NY crowd. The mental prep argument is laughable, since Miguelito fears no one. He's fought everybody at welter and is still in his prime IMO. Steward is doing an excellent job fine tuning him after having endured so many drag out brawls. By my estimation Cotto's toughness carries him through this one as well, coupled with that amazing jab&ring generalship. I thought Chavez Jr. was a bum anyways, so why the concern? Cotto should just walk through Chavez and KO him so there will be no need for a decision.

Cotto vs Chavez will be a great fight !!

Cotto is a great fighter, the only problem with Cotto is when someone takes him to the trenches and whups up on him, there he can't take it.

Margo took him there after receiving a thrashing from Cotto, tremendous shots from Cotto rained on Margo, he surely didn't wrap his jaw !!!!!!! Then he proceeded to walk him down.

The same with Pac, he took Cotto to the trenches rather early and let him off the hook for about three rounds too late.

Chavez won't take Cotto to the trenches, or will he, that will make me want to see this fight. Its PR vs MEX !!!!!!!! That makes me want to see it. Its ROACH , my second favorite trainer of all time against Steward! ITs the drama of seeing if Chavez Jr. can really be that good , cause Cotto is Proven.

If Mayweather would have had the balls to fight Cotto before Cotto fought Margo then we would have seen Mayweather smashed to pieces. hEY I had to get in on this post. First and for most i am a mexican here in Dallas and I do think Margacheato needs to be banned. I was a fan until he got caught or i mean "his trainer got" loading the gloves. I think he should be banned from boxing.
Another note I am the biggest Cotto fan in my cirlce here and the only cotto fan and every last one of my buddies are pac fans. They really don't know crap about boxing they just like that he knocks people out and has something gold around his belt. They don't know all the stipulations that he gives about weight draining champs. So i am going with cotto vs jcc jr because of the simple fact that he has a better track record with top opposition. I like jcc jr too but I don't think he has the fire in him like his Pops.
The Duddy fight didnt prove anything to me.
So I previously said that I would not spend a dime supporting margocheato if the cotto fight is the co main event, then i guess i will fork up some more hard earned cash and to see cotto take out all my homies hero, jcc jr.

I respect you for having the balls to go against your buddies. I'm a Borikua and a big Cotto fan. I too was a fan of Margarito until he became Margocheato. I think he should be ban from boxing at least 5 years. At least we get too see if Jr. really have the skills to fight with the best in the sport like his father did. Also Pac hasn't prove anything by fighting with all this stipulation. Let him fight at the real weight classes and see if he still can **** in there.

It should be great for both of them.but cotto is going to take it
to chavez.and duddy was able to hit him pretty easy early.that will get him ko'ed against cotto but we will see .pac vs margarito is a build up fight for mayweather fake fight for a fighter that is finished.a terrible waste of fans on ppv's hard earned money.
