If you're going to score the fight on clean clean punching, ring generalship and effective aggresiveness Devon wins most of the rounds.

Relative to Kotelnik's movement he was brilliant.


Only in a few instances did Alexander get caught on the ropes, so I would say Kotelnik didn't do a good job at cutting the ring off.

I saw him missing to the sides a lot as well. Kotelnik did a great job taking away the uppercut.


Devon seemed to be getting in some good bodywork early, but just not enough.


Stone Roses must just be trying to be an ass. Big surprise. It was clearly not one of Devon's better nights yet you're still blowing him.

Tim, Khan, and Maidana have too much for him right now. I'll take any of them over Devon the way Kotelnik was stunning him late.

Don't even bother mentioning him with the Top 2 at 140, that ***** is busy calling out Lightweights and ducking all legitimate threats at 140.


He won't get in the ring with either of these fighters; Urango, Ortiz, Maidana or Devon.

It was that Kotelnik had the durability and timing to expose some of Devons flaws..

Brilliant footwork would not have him being countered and hit with everything thrown at him.

Brilliant lateral movement would not have him being countered and hit with everything thrown at him.

Brilliant head movement would not have him being countered and hit with everything thrown at him.

So his head movement was good relative to Kotelniks movement?

His lateral movement was good relative to Kotelniks movement?

No... it was non existent.


His footwork was good, but so was Kotelnik's.


I actually think Kotelniks footwork was better, because he used his footwork more effectively.


Alexander used his footwork to move away and circle, but was getting hit clean and flush as he did so.

On the flip side... Kotelnik used his footwork effectively by moving in closer to land his clean shots.. his footwork was very effective.

Devon used more, but wasn't as effective with it.

He was very jittery and OVER active in there.
