After years of trash talking, UK rivals Carl Froch and Joe Calzaghe made peace at the WBC's recent "Night of The Champions" in Cardiff. Froch had been chasing Calzaghe for several years. When Froch became Calzaghe's mandatory, Joe vacated his title and moved up to light heavyweight. what is the point in continuing trash talk with someone who is retired and will never fight again? they are country-men after all. they can leave it to the fans to speculate.

he didn't hold back any trash talk against dirrell. carl's trash talk is always hilarious cause its so serious and arrogant. he deems himself almost - royal, at times. carl is a ****** at times, but i enjoy him as a fighter.

He was doing it for several years, and it didn't stop him even when Joe retired and he knew the fight wouldn't happen.

Mick Hennessy spoke with Calzaghe post Taylor, who turned down a lucrative offer in principal, as he'd made his decsion to retire and was sticking to it. Hennessy dropped the press releases with immeadiate effect but Joe continued to pour scorn on froch as he prepared for Dirrell and Kessler obviously he was pie eyed from his nocternal activities at that time in his life and it bode well for his dancing programme in the UK.

On another site, it quotes the interview in boxing news which basically says that Joe went over to Froch and say "hi, are you ok?" and froch replied he was having a good time. Then Joe enquired "Erm, are we ok?" and Froch put his hand out and said "Sure".

Nobody can blame Froch for chasing the fight. The guy has massive balls. And nobody in a million years would can acuse him of being 'scared of joe' as thats a joke. Froch was going to Cardiff, the home city of Calzaghe and it was going to be 75% welsh there. He strolled in like he owned the ****ing place and the welsh people swarmed him for photo's.
