Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the Sugar Ray Leonard of this era. A highly skilled fighter, but by no means a great one. But then, I suppose different people might have different definitions of the word "great."

For me, to be great you need to fight against the best of your era. Floyd doesn't want to do that because he thinks being undefeated is what makes one great. Sad. =(

But I do think this fight will happen. Everyone thought that Hagler-Leonard was never going to happen, but it eventually did.

yeah leonard finally took the fight after he saw weakness in hagler during the mugabe fight and that hagler might be close to being past it.
