How the hell was the Hatton fight a catchweight? Hatton came in at the 140 limit, where he was like 40-0 and the undisputed champion... and he lasted all of 2 rounds with Pacquiao.
And Cotto weighed in at 146 for the Clottey fight, one fight later against a smaller man who was moving up in weight to fight him for his championship, Miguel weighed in at 145 but that 1 lb drained him and is the reason he was beaten senseless. Had nothing to do with Pacquiao being the superior fighter and being MUCH faster than Cotto, it was Miguel being shriveled and weak from losing 1 lb.
Clottey had been in a war with Cotto and is easily the most physically imposing welter out there. He comes into his fights as a middleweight (160-165) of pure muscle and has one of the best chins in boxing. No one has ever looked good fighting him. He came in at the full 147 limit... and was demolished by Pacquiao. The biggest, strongest, toughest welter cowered in his turtle shell because he was afraid to open up against a midget.
DLH had to shed weight because it was the only way possible to make a matchup with a guy who had just fought at 135. Pac had to put on weight, Oscar had to lose it. And Oscar was still the 2-1 betting favorite and the odds were 9-1 against Pac winning by KO or TKO. And it looked like Pacquiao was working a heavy bag for 8 rounds.
Margarito is a natural welter and has fought at 154 only a handful of times in his career. Going to 150 will not be in any, way, shape or form 'draining' him. If anything it works to his advantage because he won't have to shave off those extra 3 lbs to make 147 as usual AND they will most likely use 10 oz gloves. Pacquiao adding extra weight and using heavier gloves and Margarito being 5-6" taller and having 6" reach advantage all spells big advantages for Antonio. So when Pac beats him, I'm sure the convenient thing to do will be to claim that a welterweight was 'drained' at 150 (probably 160 on fight night).
And define 'moving up in weight'...

Cotto was damaged goods from the margo beating, and still damaged from the decent beating he took from clottey. Perfect time for a man of pac's caliber to strike. I am not doubting manny's talent, but what I am saying is that he is a cherry picker also.
Clotty was not demolished by pac. that mu****a was paid off to take an "L". whenever he did punch pac which was about 7 times, he rocked his skull, and manny was the only one who looked like he had been in a fight at the end of the night.
DLH, washed up, old and drained. I don't care who's idea it was or the odds, that don't mean ****. It still holds that pac fought oscar who was not coming off of a significant win.
Was margo's last win a significant win??...... No.

Ohhhh, so you're looking for his opponent's significant wins before Pac moved up in weight to fight them. Done:
Marco Antonio Barrera (HOF, Top 50 all time, Top 5 Mexican Fighter all time)
Kevin Kelley (54-5-2) Result: W (TKO 4)
Johnny Tapia (52-2-2) Result: W (UD)
Erik Morales (41-0) Result: W (UD)
Enrique Sanchez (28-1-2) Result: W (RTD 6)
Naseem Hamed (35-0) Result: W (UD)
Pacquiao moved up from 120 to 126 to fight Barrera who had just beaten all of the top feathers in the world, including Hamed and Morales who had a combined record of 76-0. Pac took the fight on short notice and absolutely spanked Barrera, made his trainer throw in the towel from the beating he was absorbing. That's an all time great, in his prime, coming off a string of impressive wins, it wasn't a catchweight, he wasn't 'drained'... so what's the excuse for this one?

ODH: Washed up, coming off of losses, beat steve forbes in some B.S., severly dehydrated, catchweight B.S. (manny cherry picked)
Hatton: Coming off of a KO loss to floyd, struggled in fight after that. Catch weight B.S. (manny cherry picked)
Cotto:Coming off of a KO loss to Margo, struggled against Clottey in next fight. Catchweight B.S. (cherry picked) (however, I still give him props for the way he beat cotto)
Clottey:Coming off of a loss to Cotto. I believe he was manipulated to lose by Arum. red K if you want. then literally gave a ****ty excuse.
Now Margo: Coming off of a loss to Mosley, no boxing license but Arum will make a way, no bricks in gloves. (yet another cherry pick)
*******s, please red k all you want. these are facts that cannot be disputed. And I guarantee that the know nothing mainstream media will hype up this win as if pacquiao is the coming of Jesus. Its so hilarious.
Clottey and Cotto both were still good figters.
Hatton stopped Paulie.
Manny cherry picked DH????? C'mon dog.
