    Bob Arum really has no shame giving Margarito a record payday

    For all the criticism there has been of how crappy a fight Marg and Pac might turn out to be, where is the outrage that a man who possibly destroyed Miguel Cotto's career illegally, is going to get the pay day of his life? This fight is a disgrace on that fact alone and I would never pay a dime to see another Margarito fight, unless Miguel is in the ring with him looking for revenge.

    Arum has done a brilliant job of somehow getting the public to ignore that this guy is the equivalent of a violent criminal who hasn't even been back in boxing for more than a few months before he gets a)a title shot, and b) the biggest payday against one of the 2 biggest stars in boxing.

    Arum should be ashamed of himself and anyone who supports this fight should be ashamed of themselves as well.

    Margarito should be allowed one fight and one fight only for the rest of his life: Miguel Cotto, and even then only if Miguel feels like giving him the opportunity.

    Boxing's a dirty business bro, look at Cortez in the Hatton and Calzaghe fights. All involved in the sport accept it for what it is, and that includes Arum or anyone else looking to make money from it.

          OMG I don't even like Margarito. His face is ***** annoying.

          But who gives a ****? Boxing, NFL, NBA-- these are ppl gang****ing 16-yr-old girls, beating women, shooting people, getting in bar fights where people could get killed, etc. etc.

          (I support all those things by the way)

            HAHA........ wait, this is a terrible argument to make.....by your logic everyone should be able to make record paydays even because athletes are douchebags?

            THIS GUY CHEATED.... IN THE RING. HE COULD HAVE EASILY KILLED MIGUEL COTTO AND IS LUCKY ALL HE DID WAS PERMANENTLY DAMAGE HIM. THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN OFF THE FIELD/OUT OF THE RING **** UPS BECAUSE IT HURTS THE INTEGRITY OF THE SPORT ITSELF, NOT THE INDIVIDUAL. WHAT YOU'RE DESCRIBING ARE GUYS BEING ****S IN THEIR PERSONAL LIVES. WHAT MARGARITO DID WAS INSIDE THE RING, AND THEREFORE MAKES HIM A CHEAT AS WELL AS A DOUCHEBAG. IF A GUY IN BASEBALL GETS CAUGHT WITH STEROIDS, HE DOESN'T GET AN MVP TROPHY ANYWAY AT THE END OF THE SEASON. COME ON MAN.

              This guy cheated.... In the ring. He could have easily killed miguel cotto and is lucky all he did was permanently damage him. This is different than off the field/out of the ring **** ups because it hurts the integrity of the sport itself, not the individual. What you're describing are guys being ****s in their personal lives. What margarito did was inside the ring, and therefore makes him a cheat as well as a douchebag. If a guy in baseball gets caught with steroids, he doesn't get an mvp trophy anyway at the end of the season. Come on man.
              these are only speculations. He did not cheat against cotto.
