Am I the only person who is sick of only reading and hearing about the damned heavyweight division when it comes to boxing?!? I see about fifty Klitschko threads on here a day, there are always people talking about who Toney could beat, the board is now getting a fair shair of Brock and Peter threads as well. It is the worst division in boxing! Any time you turn on the TV the only words you hear about boxing from the major networks is Klitschko... But despite it all there is not a division that I get less excited to watch then the heavyweight division.

I like the heavywieghts. Its like a good movie. You have the main characters that carry the story and supply the plot lines, and you have the crazy freak shows for comic relief. Watching Toney smack around Ruiz and Wlad toss around a few middleweights is good clean fun if you don't take it too seriously.

I totally agree with the thread title. The Heavyweight division is the worst ever. The current champions don't impress for any seconds. Chris Byrd had won 3 fights out of 4 by unanimous decisions where he had chances to lose the title. Buying a ticket to see him KO's his opponents is a waste, cause he hasn't got KO power.
John Ruiz, our gay fighter, is current WBA champion. The biggest joke of HW division. I've seen a couple fights of him, oh boy it was BORING!!!!! Looks like we are looking at a dancing party. Dispose this guy immediately.

Vitaly Klitschko is almost retired.
Let's face it guys. There is not a single fight out there that is pay-per view worth. The HW division is done. What can Don King do anymore? Organise another HW tournament consist of his fighters?
Let's pay more attention to the 130, 135, 140, 147 and 154 division. They are more interesting than the current HW division.Comment

To be fair some people only like to follow the heavies, because of the whole "toughest dude on the planet" mystique that surrounds a heavyweight champ. Nothing wrong with that, you don't have to go all in when you're a boxing fan. I just feel sorry for them because the division is such a mess right now. No true champs, hell no guys even making a respectable weight.
And the number of new threads about Vitali/Peter/Brock is getting a bit much, though this is the silly season right now and there's not much else going on except for this big fight coming up this weekend.Comment
