Hey, guys...I'm the author of the article. Thanks for reading...It should be pointed out that I originally wrote that article back in May...Now, we're getting the "Done Deal" again from Arum...We'll see how this one turns out...

By the way, I'm not defending anything about Mayweather, just pointing out that Arum has manipulated public opinion to almost an obscene level...and Mayweather has been Arum's biggest target. Remember, it used to be Oscar, but then Arum realized that he has to do business with Oscar...

By the way, show some love for the independent Boxing media at . You can also check out my stuff at Inside Fights.com and occasionally, Fox Sports...

Because he's in Pac's camp, to many of the people on here Bob Arum is a saint. Not that Schaeffer isn't ****ty too. Unfortunately your story will fall on deaf ears.

Like I've said before, you won't hear the real boxing press for the major organizations parroting Arum, because they all know he's full of ****, or they have too much integrity to be bribed. It's only the small organizations, like the websites and fansites that bother reporting on what the promoters say on a day to day basis.

For example, when was the last time any of you saw Dan Rafael post about the status of this fight on ESPN? I don't think I've seen anything in a long long time.

Great article. I had a feeling that *******s were going to read into it as an attack on their guy. Read through it carefully guys. He's not attacking Pacquiao in any way. Arum is greedy and he doesn't really give two ****s about what boxing fans want to see. That's the point of the article. It's not really about Pac or Mayweather.

It is funny, Floyd plays all these little mind games and when he brought up the testing thing, Top Rank pulled out of the fight. This act gave Floyd the mental edge needed thinking that Pac would never agree to the fight but then Top Rank comes back and agrees to Floyd's demands (allegedly) and the ALWAYS VOCAL Floyd Mayweather is now silent- caught between a rock and a hard place.

People say "What contract, there were no negotiations in the first place", it somehow then appears that there were meetings between the two camps in an attempt to make the fight happen. Next they say "What contract, did Manny sign it?", it is then revealed that there were some concessions and a contract was apparantly sent for Mayweather to sign. Following this is "Well Floyd don't bend to the will of other people, he fights when he wants to fight"...since when is that the way two guys put a PPV event together?

This is not just any fight but the biggest fight in history (most likely) and the most lucrative. Pac caught endless amounts of flack for the fight not happening last time yet if it is Floyd's fault for the fight not happening this time it is ok because he can decide to fight whenever he wants....lol....sounds pretty nuetral and fair to me.

Ellerbe is always speaking up on Floyd's behalf to defend him, even from something as petty as the Xylocane use accusations (whether true or not) and now he won't say a word. Excuses may be made on mayweather's behalf from his enduring fans but why remain silent when it would be so easy to expose Arum, it would take a simple 30 second statement from either Mayweather or Ellerbe to a boxing reporter to settle the score, there is no reason to not say anything unless either: 1) all that has been reported to the media is true or 2) Mayweather is just waiting till late Friday night to announce something.

This writer is obviously a ***** who is looking for the excuse not to happen. You guys are the weirdest fans ever. Why can you just be like "I hope the fights happend no matter what the terms is"

You guys negotiate for floyd instead and thats the reason why the fight didnt push through the last time. bcos of fan like you trying to find an excuse for floyd himself.

Donaire vs Darchinya, He doesnt know **** to what happend. Darchinyan cleary Ducked Donaire. If you dont know that then just sip it.

                    This quote
“Yesterday I was lying, but today I’m telling the truth.” — Bob Arum

Did arum said this during the Pacquiao vs Mayweather negotiation?

                    keep bumping.
rest assured that boxing writers don't use the terms ***** and *******...its mainly a small group of ***heads on youtube and message boards. i didn't realize you were part of the darchinyan vs donaire negotiations...maybe it was your fault that **** fell through. thanks alot you piece of ****e.

My feelings about these supposed "negotiations" were expertly put into this article. In-house Arum is a genius yet a detriment to boxing at the same time.
