he was one dimensional, he did the same thing over and over.

double jab a bit of headmovement and hit the body - decent pressure with good speed and power but..

Muhammed ali would have picked him apart, so much flair and lateral movement which would have beat tyson quite easily

tyson was great in his prime but he wasnt tested so we will never no how good he was in his gorilla dog years haha

the competition was 1 level above than todays competition and you probably disagree but its true. the only reason u may disagree is because they were american heavyweights - which makes all the difference eyy?
Well career wise overrated yes but his ability was amazing. If it wasnt for unforseen situations in his personal life he would be amongst the top 10.....
His talent was like a shooting star...you see it, you marvel it, then its gone. I think thats part of his legacy, the what if's

Tyson is somewhat overrated. People were mesmerized by his knockout power and ferocious style. As the guy above said, he had excellent ability, but he just never reinforced his potential.

Two of the most devastating punchers in the game ever, Hamed, Tyson, both vastly overrated by fans, excuse after excuse made for them, coincidence?

They both will be remembered for the demolition they caused in their respective weight classes. I think they've both done enough to pose their validity as once great fighters. We all know Tyson will be remembered for so much more than his boxing career though.

He had the wolf mentality, maybe Tyson did too, but that mentality where you start off chipping away small at someone mentally just like in jail people who get their **** took, it always starts with the sneakers. Cus and Tyson watched alot of tape of Foreman destroying Frazier who shared Tyson's similar style and Tyson was awed by his power. I think Tyson would've lost to any version of George...

My friend, you were on a role until you said ANY version of Foreman would beat Tyson, I couldn't have disagreed with you more.

For starters, though George had height and power he landed his punches by throwing looping/round house shots. Ali wasn't joking when he said you have a whole week to see George's punches coming.

That said, this leaves Foreman open for counters and short compact punches, punches that I might add he never even attempted to block (i.e. straight right leads from Ali).

Now, contrast this with Tyson style of fighting, what was Tyson good at throwing? Yeah, you guessed it short compact punches.

To further add, Tyson had exceptionally good hand speed for a heavyweight, good head movement and would have taken away Foreman's range by staying on the inside.

George's only chance was to keep Tyson on the outside consistently with a great jab (something he never had to begin with) and following up with straight overhand rights (another thing Foreman wasn't good at was throwing anything straight). Other then that I see a Tyson victory.

That said, you even think an old version of Foreman would defeat Tyson?

              Tell me your kidding.

To sum this up these are the tools Tyson has in his arsenal that would give Tyson the edge:

              1. Short Compact power punches

              2. Head movement

              3. Hand Speed

              4. Good inside fighting
