Weird.

I thought at Mosley's age, he'd only be motivated to fight the big fights available, in this case the Middleweight Champ.

A Mora fight is nothing worth getting up for unless it's a tune up and he plans fighting someone right after that.

Yep, it just goes to show you some of these guys think they'll be in this game forever. That they can pass on big fights, take smaller ones and the fans will show up or watch on TV and they have all the time in the world.

This really is the living end for Shane Mosley. Coming off a devastating defeat and passing on a shot at the lineal middleweight title for this ho-hum spectacle is extremely poor judgment. It's a decision he'll live to regret. I'm a big fan of his but I won't be watching this one.

Mosley came off a fairly tough beating against Mayweather. You don't just jump in right away with a top guy after something like that, it is wise to gauge yourself against someone easier.

Just like Cotto fought Yuri Foreman after the Pacquiao battering. It let him get his confidence back and now he's seriously looking at a Margarito rematch.

Lol@Berto! The nerve of this kid wanting 50/50. I mean who has he beat that would warrant such a split, and where are his legions of fans that would justify a 50% take? Didn't this kid go life and death with Collazo? A dude that Mosley handled with relative ease! Then Berto tries to get hbo to buy a crap fight of him against Gomez, lol! This kid needs new management, cause beating up on smaller guys like Steve Forbes and Urango then taking on the likes of Carlos Quintana all while avoiding his toughest opponent in Collazo is not gonna get him big money anytime soon. His stock is going down with real boxing fans.

I'm fine with Mosley taking this fight. It's not near as bad as some of the other fights we've had to watch from the sports biggest stars.

Mosley just suffered an embarassing loss, and everyone expects him to dive head first into another dangerous fight.

I agree and it's not like Mora is THAT bad as a choice. He does have skills. I've seen far worse fights made.

I can't believe Berto, how much money was on the table. Mosley probably made at least 10 million fighting Mayweather no question who the draw is b/t him and Berto. That is a huge mistake by Haymon/Dibella.

I have no problem with this fight. But why on PPV? If Mosley loses he should retire. If he wins he should fight Martinez at the 155 lbs CW for a chance at history and one last payday

More than once i the past year or so.osley has said that he expects to fight for a few more years, depending on how he feels.If he has a good fight he won't retire, if he has a poor one, he might then consider retiring.


My own feeling is that his last fight, with Mayweather, was poor because he was overtrained; it could not have been Mayweather who caused him to start fading from the
3rd rd, when normally he would get stronger as the fight progressed.

We'el have to wait and see.

who the f wants to see the old man Mosley again? Whatis he looking 4? What he has to prove? That hes an almost guy? Cause thats all he is, an almost guy who were ridiculized by Mayweather who by the way is a nobody in boxing but a guy that knows how to make noise. boxing sucks
