SOOOO....Would you say floyd is on peds for going 106 to 154, henry amstrong was on that ****, or de la hoya?????? All these great fighters have done it. But neither am i accusing anyone. Only great fighters can accomplish these feat.
Actually, Henry Armstrong technically one titles in 3 weightclasses (featherweight, lightweight, welterweight) As Superfeather and Junior Welter didnt exist during that time. Also to compare Manny to Floyd, Oscar and Henry is bad comparison for a number of reasons. For one, Manny started his PROFESSIONAL CAREER not amateur at 106. This makes a big difference as fighters usually spend a few years as an amateur before making the jump to professional. You say Floyd started as an amateur at 106 which is true but he started his professional career in 1996 at 130, a full 4 weightclasses higher then Manny who started his professional career one year earlier than Floyd in 1995 as a flyweight weighing 107lbs. From 1996-2002 Floyd fought at 130. From 2002-2004 He fought at 135. From 2004-2005 He fought at 140 and since then end of 2005 he's been at 147 with one fight at 154 in 2007 where he only weighed 150 for the fight. Manny meanwhile went from 130 to 147 (4 weightclasses) between 2008-2010. And yes Manny did weigh the limit of 147 for his fight against Clottey. So from 04 to 10 Floyd has fought at 3 weights and only had one fight in the highest one, while Manny has jumped 4 weights in 1/3 of that time. Wow. Also consider Manny's body type and height compared to the other 3. While Armstrong and Manny were nearly the same height, Armstrong probably had a bigger body-type having had his first fight at 120lbs and his second at 124 which gradually got higher throughtout his 14 year career. He never jumped weight that fast. It took him 4 years to fight at 135 and another 4 before fighting at 140. Don't even mention Oscar, he's damn near 6 feet tall and fought at middleweight! And we all know Floyd is taller than Manny. My point is that most fighters campaign at a weightclass lower than their actually weight, training down to get there. As they get older they gradually move up in weight with a few fighters (Floyd at 154, Oscar at 160) attempting to fight in weightclasses at or above their natural weight and usually not having much success at it. Floyd IMO struggled in his fight with Oscar at 154. Oscar struggled with Felix Sturm and was KO by BHop at 160. Even the greatest Sugar Ray Robinson lost when he attempted to win a title at Light-Heavyweight when he had been campaigning at middleweight. What this says to me is that Floyd and Oscar probably walk around at somewhere between 150-154 for Floyd and 160-165 for Oscar (who's best weight in his later years was 154) But here's Manny not only fighting at a higher weight but winning with ease, taking heavy shots to the face and KOing people doing it. Hell his guy Ariza has even been quoted as saying that Manny has to eat thousands of calories per day just to maintain (or gain IMO) weight while training, which means if he didn't he'd be a career 135-140lber at best. Most fighters don't have a heavy diet while training unless they are building muscle which would probably make them stiff and unable to move fluidly). Now maybe Manny is a freak of nature and muscles just weigh more than everybody else and he walks around at 150-160lbs or his team has some kind of revolutionary training regime that has never been thought of or done before in all of the last 10-15 years in sports medicine and training. He is not like Ricky Hatton, eating his ass off and becoming Ricky Fatton looking 20-30lbs above where he should be. No Manny always looks trim and in shape even when not training. He probably doesn't weigh 150lbs soaking wet LOL. Final point is that Manny is doing something never done before and making it look easy when hasn't been for many other greats in his sport. We all thought it was amazing when the 61 homerun record was broken after 37 years by Mark McGuire and eventually extended to 70 and look how that turned out. He admitted to doing steroids years later after he retired. Then that record was broken by Barry Bonds' 73 homeruns and well for those of you who know that story he has never been found guilty of doing anything either.

I really want to see Manny beat this boys (Floyd) ass. Not just beat on him a few rounds, but humiliate him to the point where he makes him shake his hand at the post conference with his face brutally swollen. That will be boxing fan justice.

Face the facts. Floyd moved up on several classes from bums. Nobody gets talked about this bad unless they are truely a fake. You didn't hear people talking about Ali, Sugar Ray, Hagler, Hearns or the other greats while they were in there prime or now, because they didn't hand pick opponents.

Mayweather goes down in 8 but i'd rather see it go 12 and for Floyd to look like Cotto did by the end.

Since it's not your guy, it's quite easy to say, "Who cares about the accusations..." If the tables were turned, you would be saying, Manny is even lucky that Floyd is still negotiating and still wants to fight after (Manny is) making those false accusations....

Let's face it, not even Floyd believes in random testing, so let's all stop with this mockery!
