Of course I want the fight to happen, I always win money on floyd why would I not want it to happen? Why would I not want him to fight a fighter that doesnt even have a jab? with a 66" reach, no counter punching ability whatsoever, and that loves to brawl?? This is easy money for me. But the reality of it is this. It will not happen IF PACQUIAO THINKS HES GOING TO HAVE THE ONE UP THIS TIME IN NEGOTIATIONS.

at the end of the day its a business, its not a fan ran sport. Its about money. The match makers promoters, lawyers etc all know this (HOW DO YOU TIHNK THEY GET PAID). The fans dont seem to grasp this. Jordan was a helluva player, yet he wouldnt play for free, or for a low paycheck, neither would koby or anyone else. This isnt the 40-50's you see the money they were making then was equivalent to what floyd them are making today counting in or factoring things were much cheaper. I am only 29 years old, and I remember can sodas being 25 cents. I also remember bottle sodas being 50-75, now they are a $1.32 . I remember Ali stating that the money he made from fighting could buy 4-5 bombers for the military. Well that equation is the same today. Goods cost more so it seems as if they are making more money.

I want to see the fight, but I am realistic enough to understand how the game works, its all about money, and thats why manny wanted 50/50. Its about money and plenty of it.

Ignoring these fact will not make the fight happen.

When you hear floyd fans saying that floyd outsells manny in his fights, you guys sometimes think its because we care about how much money floyd makes, no the reason I and others bring this up is because this is one of the main factors on a contract for a fight going through. Well, Pac vs. Cotto PPV numbers were reportedly between 1.25 million and 1.5 million. After Cotto coming hot off his big win and Pac's stock up even higher, I bet they AT LEAST match Mayweather vs. Mosley's 1.4 million buys (as reported by Ellerbe), and comfortably more internationally.

Pacquiao is reaching for the biggest payday of his life, yes, so better Mayweather because he won't get one bigger than the Pacquiao fight for all the remainder of his career no matter who he fights.

I have no doubt whatsoever that this fight gets made. There is entirely too much money on the table for them to walk away. I don't care for Mayweather's brand of marketing. You still usually attract more flies with honey. De La Hoya was a much bigger star than Mayweather despite being less talented. Kill them with kindness, it's typically more profitable. To get away with the Tyson "bad guy" routine, you gotta have an aggressive KO type of style, I believe.

Ultimately, I just want to see the two best fighters in the world go at it, matching their unique types of skills with each other. Scientifically, Mayweather should easily win, but Pacquiao's been there before. Most will likely favor Pacquiao even if they really believe Mayweather will win in the back of their minds. I can't wait.

I think floyd will give pac a boxing lesson when/if they meet so i agree with him, i just hope floyd and the team dont kill the fight by making too many demands.....14 day cut of was and still is fair!!!
