how convenient for Paul Williams, HBO sees big $$$ in him and his advisor Al Haymon is friendly with HBO, they figure why put him back in there with Cintron who if you put the KD down aside wobbled him in 3 rounds a few times, literally BOXED the **** out of him and made him decrease his punches output by more than half his usual punches thrown, why do that when now that they made it out of the fight they can just go ahead with Martinez? they say **** Cintron lets chase bigger and better things and they smart for that but it's **** like that which kills Boxing..

Cintron EASILY won 2 of those 3 rounds it baffles me how it can be seen any different, most of what Paul threw was like pitter patterhe didn't ever actually hurt Kermit or wobble him, Kermit on the other hand gave Paul Williams the kind of trouble that match makers don't want to see so to make sure Kermit doesn't get that Quintana style victory he was on his way to getting in a rematch they turn down a rematch and take advantage of the bad look Kermit had to to take. I bet you though if Paul lost they would be SCREAMING for a rematch but they won so now they claim HBO don't want it which can be true but then just go to ****in Showtime or Versus, I bet he wold have had he lost but he walked away with the win so there is no need..

I agree with some of this. I thought Cintron was outboxing Williams, slipping most of his punches, while landing counters of his own.

I just don't think Cintron deserves another shot based on how it went down. Not when he milked that weak "injury". Even when he was having his way! He's just a mental midget I guess.

do you think there would have been "better fights" had Williams lost or would they have made the rematch with Cintron? look what happened with Carlos Quintana man they made the rematch QUICK but since he wins then no rematch right? seriously man it's bull****.. I just don't like how the "most feared" Welterweight in the world wont take a rematch with Kermit at 147 or 154 because HBO wont buy it because when he lost to Quintana it was on HBO right? then he gets an immediate rematch on Showtime, why can't he give that same respect to Cintron?

thing is tho Ant you forgetting they held Kermit down in fear that his injury was spinal, you think they going to risk their lively hood over Kermit Cintron saying he wants to fight? no if anything they keep him on the floor, don't put the mic next to him and when they DO put the mic next to him you see someone holding him down talking to him, Kermit staying still in just 1 position saying he wanted to fight, Williams HIMSELF said he heard Cintron saying that so was Williams lying? my thing is that Paul was given the chance that his team is denying Cintron and I feel that's wrong.
