Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez: I Want Mayweather, I'll Take The Tests

I like this, but with two stipulations. I don't want him to go up and down in weight and wreck his body like Roy did. So, I would like to see him go about this two ways.
1) Go fight Martinez and try to stay at MW for a few fights
2) Beat Pacquiao then fight Martinez and move up.
To reduce the idiot population, I'd prefer #2, but I'm ultimately happy with either scenario.

yeah NO ONE wants to see this fight compared to Pac-Mayweather, so who's simple minded now you prick.

If you call someone out, you should go to them, on their terms. As Floyd did with Oscar. Oscar was a junior middleweight, Floyd was a jr.welterweight. Floyd didn't demand that Oscar move down, Floyd went up to junior middleweight. If Martinez wants to fight the Number 1a fighter in Floyd, he should move down to face Floyd. Floyd is in the driver's seat regardless of whom he faces. UNLESS, he calls out a bigger man, THEN, he should move up. As it stands now, Martinez is the one clamoring for a shot at Mayweather after he said he wasn't interested in fighting Floyd now, that he wanted to face Pavlik again. Well, Pavlik declined and now Martinez wants to fight Floyd. Get in line. Honestly, he's not really deserving of a shot at Floyd.

Fight Paul for 800k million or fight Mayweather for 4 or 5 million. Mayweather gives every fighter their biggest pay day. Regardless I don't think Mayweather will ever fight Martinez and he's being used for negiotiations and nothing more.

Also. Mayweather has been the smaller man in pretty much 90% of his fights.
