What does his name have to do with it? He could have told his promoters anything he wants, just like he does now. The Mayweathers have history in this sport, they're not newcomers and know the ins and outs of the business. They could have gotten this ball rolling long ago.

But then again, there wasn't a Manny Pacquiao knocking dudes out either.

    But yea,

Can you name what is uneven about the playing field?

    Its a simple question.
Lets say theoretically, that corrales, castillo, gatti, hernandez were juicers... why would they subject themselves to a lesser named opponent's demands?

an upcoming fighter is just tickled pink to score a fight with a named champion or great fighter...

like i said before, they had no idea how to test for peds or HGH years ago... plus whos to say since he never asked for blood testing before that he has to continue doing the same...

I've seen you post before and its completely obvious that you dont like Floyd and I respect that, but I think you are just looking at this in a negative aspect because of your dislike for him.

Mayweather wont come out and say it because Pac will sue him! Mayweather wants to make sure they're both clean when they step into the ring.

The mandated testing in place right now isnt good enough to catch everything, Mosely and Roy Jones already proved that. Pac has the right to say no to the testing and Mayweather also has a right to his opinon. We all want to see them fight but if they dont so be it, life goes on.
Exactly, so why doesn't he understand why Pac should recieve th FOTD award. Floyd is saying that Pac is above the rest.

        2. Was it also uneven for 40 floyd fights?

        3. Is the uneven playing field a new development in boxing or has it always been there and how long?
1.if fighter a is on something and fighter b is not on somethhing its not a fair fight.

2.time change people take ped that are getting harder to detect. The test are better now then they where when he had his first fight.

3.no fighter have alway look for a edge.

Just because Mayweather wants an even playing field does not necessarily mean something is uneven. All Mayweather wants is to assure himself of a fair bout. Don't make it so hard on yourself.

            Tortilla,

Why do you twist things to fit your agenda? I mean it's so obvious.

Floyd has his doubts on Pacquiao being clean. All stemming from Roger and Sr's doubts about Pacquiao. Which only escalated as Pacquiao refused drug testing.

              2. Was it also uneven for 40 Floyd fights?
He never thought about being cheated until Pacquiao refused drug testing. At which he underwent drug testing and Shane Mosley, a confessed PED user, also underwent drug testing. Both being clean.

              3. Is the uneven playing field a new development in boxing or has it always been there and how long?
James Toney was on steroids. Roy Jones Jr was on steroids. Shane Mosley was on steroids. All extraordinary boxers who have been found to be on steroids.

So the playing field has been slanted. For how long? Who knows. However, there may be fighters out there who are on performance enhancing drugs.

Floyd just wants his opponents to be proven clean before he steps in the ring with them. It's all business, NSAC can do whatever but at the end of the day, two private businesses come to the table and agree upon common rules before they fight.
