I would love to hear what he has to say about a Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown. The man has refereed all their latest major fights. He is one of the best, if not best ref in the sport. I am really curious to know what he thinks. I mean there is nobody closer to the action than him, he has officiated enough of their fights to know them pretty damn well. Can Boxing Scene do an interview with this guy?

Kenny Bayliss's Opinion..

Yeah, Kenny Bayless is extremely professional, he doesn't play any games.
I remember seeing an interview with him about Cotto-Margarito. He said it was one of the best fights he had ever seen or something like that.

This was the most recent interview I read of Bayless
"When touching on Pacquiao’s impact within the sport Bayless feels that he is the star boxing has been looking for in the mold of Mike Tyson and Oscar De La Hoya over years’ past. When asked one last question as to his thoughts on a possible Pacquiao showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Bayless can’t take any sides yet seems to recognize the bout’s importance.
“Everybody has been looking forward to that fight. Should it happen? Yes it should happen. Everybody wants that fight to happen. I know that when fighters are negotiating fights a lot of stuff plays into it. I just hope that they can come to some mutual agreement and that all terms will be met for it to happen. When and where is it going to happen? We don’t know. Should it happen? Yes it should.”"Last edited by Mayabang; 05-07-2010, 07:35 PM.

Bayless is hands down the best of all the NV referees. Everyone one else is like 2 classes below him. I think he is slipping though, he was way too involved in the Shane - Floyd fight, I mean even when they had a hand free he was rushing to break. At one point in the fight Floyd countered and buckled Shane and when he went to engage Kenny stepped in and reset them.
If there was a dream ref for a super fight, it has to be Smoger.
