Did Pacquiao & Roach DUCK Shane Mosley?

Mosley ready to go at 144 lb vs Pacquiao
By Abac Cordero (The Philippine Star) Updated June 02, 2009 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines – Shane Mosley is willing to stake his WBA welterweight crown if he gets to face Manny Pacquiao even at a catch weight of 144 lb.

“I’ll meet him halfway so we can make the fight,” said Mosley in an exclusive interview aired by NBN-4 sports program Teledyaryo yesterday.

Mosley, the champion at 147 lb, said he’s willing to go down in weight, face Pacquiao on Oct. 17, and stake his crown just to see “who’s the best.”

Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, said they’re willing to face Mosley if the latter would agree to go down to 142 lb. Then Mosley said “halfway” could mean 144 lb.

“I can possibly make the weight and feel comfortable. I want to explore that,” said Mosley.

I think Roach said it himself, Shane is too big and too good for Pacquiao.

That was before Mayweather turned him into a "washed up old man".

By duck do you mean fighting a top welterweight that was actually in his prime instead of Shane?

by fighting the guy who beat shane? don't think so...

plus top rank vs top rank fighter. usually bob arums likes to do that if it's an option.

Apparently that old man wasn't old or shot enough at the time for Roach and Pac.

But I bet they would love to jump at the chance now. Especially at a catchweight.

They love feeding Manny Floyd's leftovers.

When you tell a fighter you don't want to fight him because he too good and you want to weight drained him, that means you're ducking him.

Roach said "youre too good"..they didnt want at 147..they didnt want it at 144..they ddint want it at 142..instead they wanted to face someone who was "damaged goods" as Roach said..Team Pac is full of excusing..but I gurantee you they will want Mosley now(you know..after he was beaten)..Roach loves them coming off a loss..
