Wow, great fight for le tombeur !! I don't like the fact that all the big guys at 168 are in the super 6 tournament, the better thing to me for Bute is to stay really active, continue improve his style and his offense, and building himself a great confidence before he eventually take the super 6 winner. I like the fact that he is improving with his fight, at a certain point before the first Andrade fight I thought that he stopped letting his hands go, which is a big mistake considering he is naturally a big puncher ( at the beginning of his career his was knocking everybody ). Then in some fights he stopped letting his hands go and became to cautious, which is the reason I think Andrade came very close to surprise him. I think that him and Larouche saw that flaw and they worked on it, he need to use his left hand, ( left hook to the body and uppercut ).
Good luck to him, my prediction is that Ward will win the tournament and we'll see Bute against him after.
Bonne boxe félicitations Lucian

B-Hop never loses by a large margin and he's knock out proof. It's true.
Bute is fast, really skilled, hits hard, and is three-dimensional unlike Pavlik. If B-Hop wants to keep his pride and not lose again, he better retire. Hopkins is not beating any of the top SMW or LHW boxers, let alone Lucian Bute.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 04-18-2010, 01:54 AM.

Hopkins needs to know his place, he shouldn't be fighting boxers like Bute, Dawson, Pascal, Haye, etc.

With Naz in B-Hops corner, anything can happen. I think that even at this stage in his career, Hopkins would be able to eke out a close decision. If not confuse and destroy Bute in the later rounds. The dudes too crafty.
Seriously though, I don't post much, but I read the forums almost every day... and I don't remember seeing this many Bute fans before. Did some of you get an insta-hard ons and now all of a sudden he's the second coming of boxing Jesus, or what?

What is safe to say is Bute needs to turn the knotch a bit up and find himself better oposition, to gain more trust, win more fights and shut some people up,close to impossible to remove doubts though untill he will be facing some Supersix competition.
I'd rather see him keep his *0* and take Stieglitz's belt than fight Hopkins, at least for the near future, aka next bout.
