Floyd would dominate him over 12. It would just be a faster paced version of their fight at WW, possibly with more knockdowns.

Cotto can fight Urkal, Gomez and Jennings and Marg can fight Golden Johnson but Floyd cant take a tune up to get back in the swing of things.
Shane is coming off of a similar layoff at 38yrs of age and chooses to fight the best fighter on the planet. I apologize if you cant see why I think Floyd may be a bit cowardly. And to answer your question NO I dont believe any fighter should be allowed a tune up on PPV, if you want that paycheck earn it.

floyd's size and weight help him win the fight, just look at funeka vs guzman.

Shane is coming off a layoff and needs the payday that Floyd brings. Floyd made over 20 Mil fighting JMM. Shane literally couldnt afford a tune up and its not like Shanes layoff was planned anyway. If that earthquake doesnt happens he wouldve fought Berto by now.

              lets not play this game

It's no fantasy that Pacquiao outclassed hatton in two rounds and took out oscar in only 8, sent him into retirement, which floyd needed 10 rounds on hatton and a feeble 12 round SD on Oscar. Then retired himself instead of rematching oscar.

After a 1yr layoff WW Berto is still a much more legitimate opponent than a LW Marquez. I also don't think it only comes down to money. Mosley has shown a willingness to test himself throughout his career where Floyd has not.
