Honestly, AA was about to win that fight

Abraham really didn't even rock Dirrell this fight. Even when Dirrell was knocked down he didn't appear to be hurt or on unsteady legs.
This nonsense about Abraham definitely going to win when he was 4-5 points behind, cut and swinging for the fences is not based on logic.
Dirrell had the timing perfectly, moving his head away from those wide Abraham shots. Sure, Abe was landing more but this is had Dirrell UD all over it.Last edited by Shattered Jaw; 03-27-2010, 11:49 PM.

Let's just accept that AA lost and up to the point of the DQ he was losing. We don't know for a fact what was about to happen. AA lost, and that's the end of it. That punch while Dirrell was down was out of frustration.

That wasn't a slip, c'mon you saw that land.
But other than that, Dirrell put on a very good performance, so congratulations to him.

Abraham was coming on strong. Too bad he made a ****** mistake and it cost him.
1. I never said Abraham was gonna win on points
2. Never said anything about Dirrell's second KD
3. All this post was about is that I felt Abraham was inching closer to landing a big KO.

And he might have even had an easier time doing so if Dirrell "ran" instead of saying offensive. Because Abe doesn't really throw until his opponent stops.
He probably wouldn't have, but I thought he was going to. That said, he should not have thrown that cheap shot.
